Guys, don't believe this slow processor and less memory stories...the N8 is very quick and very accurate, just go in a shop and check it yourself.Screen and build quality are really top notch, longer battery life, the camera is really something else, symbian^3 is very smooth with so many new features...And don't forget the Nokia support, much better than the SE support.With all these advantages i think the N8 is the only handset to match the quality of the iphone and htc desire.

15 days old started not responding. Then turned off wont turn back on. Telstra (aust) wont swap the phone for me. They are telling me they will have to send it away to be fixed. Could take up to 4 weeks :( .Nokia care has told me the same thing. send it away. Any other electrical device would be a straight swap within a 30 day period. What is so hard. I'm now thinking I would love a refund. It's not going to happen. Very unsatisfied customer. Used Nokia for ever now a change is around the corner. To top it all off it was a great phone before all this. A little slow processing. Quality of photo's brilliant.

Low processor and i don't care if Symbian doesn't need fast processor they should think that before because Symbian doesn't give great resolution too 640X360 What the hell!
Look at S8500 bada os doesn't need fast processor too but Samsung add fast processor anyway to give the greatest performance

Does Nokia N8 has Soft reset button lik O2 & HTC phones? It will solve al d problems if soft reset option is available coz hard reset is done in a very rare case coz the whole data wil b vanished!

This phone has a... moreHey Robert thankzzz if d option of holding the power button is present than well it's good but if the piece goes for hard reset than d whole data on ur phone wil be deleted and you have to feed in the data again.Dn't you think it's a pain!Hw many times you will b able to reset the device...

why as a new advance smart phone,N8 are still using 256mb ram,680mhz processor?and still have the problem of restarting,freeze,lag,always...nokia will no longer NO1 top selling phone product in the future..unless they no longer use SYMBIAN!!

Aaron, 07 Dec 2010Nokia should fire all their lazy and tardy software enginee... moreI was a fandroid and used to bash the N8 but I believe that adopting Android is not the solution to Nokia's problems and it will be a bad move. MeeGo is the way to go and I'm excited on what they have up their sleeve. If Nokia does Android then they will be just like everyone else out there who can't develop their own OS. Also, take note that Android's current growth might not be the same next year when WebOS, WP7, and MeeGo gets into the picture.
I am getting tired of Android and it's not that it's a bad OS, it just that the manufacturers are slow with the updates and bug fixes. It also takes even more time when you factor in the carrier customizations and the said update will get another month or two before it reaches the end user. Take the Froyo for the Galaxy S as an example. The first batch of it came out on Oct. 15 and I'm still waiting for it because my carrier is still not done adding their own modifications on it.
