Phone Salesman, 03 Dec 2010This is possibly the worst phone nokia has released in term... moreIs every N8 goin' to be that way? If you say yes, then my N8 is the one and only that "works well" and it doesn't make a sense.

        To All N8 Haters & N8 Lovers:

Please respect people's choice of phone. No cellfone is perfect, you have to evaluate its functionality and see to it that it is what you need, otherwise, buy the brand. This earth will be so boring if all the people is using only the same brand of fone.

This is possibly the worst phone nokia has released in terms of reliabilty. Yes the device specs are good but who wants a phone that in theory works great. I work at an optus store and without a word of a lie 2 out of 3 of these phones are returned within the first week with very different problems. sometimes they wont charge, sometimes they wont take photos, but most of the time the phone will just not turn on. I would not recomend this phone. If you are looking for a good reliable smart phone i would suggest something like the samsung Galaxy S or the Blackberry 9800 Torch.

ppl n8 is a lovely phone, but not anymore. I bought the phone 2 weeks back and when i had to recharge i realised nokia forgot to make a hole 4 charging. It was replaced by the dealer after 3days. This 1 worked but 3days ago it didnt wanna respond, when i had to take it back it worked and last last night it passed away. Cant do anything wit it. Im so disappointed.

The worst phone that I ever met with nokia in higher end.First I bought a black n8 which had reboot problem on the second day of my purchase and it has been got replaced by the dealer with a silver.I was using it just for 1 day and the very next morning it was totally dead and after investing 24000 bugs now i am without the phone. The dealer said me that it would take 2months time for claim from company, now I am with samsung galaxy s which was really excellent. The reply that i got from nokia care is that due to installation of 3rd party applications from other than default applications will cause the phone os to get corrupted. They also suggested me not to install any applications even from ovi so I think the phone is meant for keeping in a museum.Any N8 user take for granted if didnt come across any problem so far its better that you get rid of the demon before it sucks you.never................ever.............choose N8-nonsense 8-number eight belongs to saturn planet that ensures sure trouble for you so think wise guys.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE, I once believed it was the perfect phone on the market, that it had everything I could possibly need, it is, but only on the hardware side, the build of the phone I cannot fault, along with the camera but the user experience is absolutely PATHETIC. Symbian is ridiculously slow and laggy, for those who think user experience is not important trust me after you buy the phone, user experience is EVERYTHING. It is not on par with other phones, get a blackberry, iphone or htc phone.

USB-on-the-go feature is very useful. It make us easier to transfer data, no need use a pc as a bridge anymore, no need to remove microSD card from the phone and unbelievably it's transfer speed is fast.

Can normal people from India actually AFFORD the latest mobile phones? I ask this because the way the country is portrayed on TV is one huge garbage dump; and please do not take offense with my post because these are hard FACTS.

Anyway, it would seem like the ones that work in a call center are at least able to buy older models like Nokia 5110 and the like.

[deleted post]I don't agree with Gizmodo's decision to not review the N8. The N8 does have some very good features that are superior to other phones, namely the camera. I just feel that ignoring the N8 is simply a disservice to their readers. It's quite ironic that they would ignore the N8 and yet have an article on this: http://gizmodo.com/5689333/an-unboxing-of-johns-phone-the-anti+smartphone

If they want to do an article of how Nokia went downhill as of late, then go ahead and do that. Simply stating they will not review the N8 results in making Gizmodo seem clearly biased against Nokia.
