there is no substitute for nokia n8,camera n reliability to use is the best one ,even no anyother mobile can replace it

MdN8, 15 Jul 2017Did they fix it right away or you had to go twice?Not realtime. They just took 3 days excluding thendate of giving it for service. That is Monday means I received on Thursday.

By your conception galaxy s7 means galaxy symbian 7 right? Symbian or series60 is totally something else from java or series40 or s40.

Then I tried the Samsung's USB cable with the old charger, the charging light started blinking, then the phone beeped and started charging. It was completely empty, at 0 percent.
Anyway, that's a cheap repair - around 8 Euro. I'm in the EU in a small city and we don't have Microsoft service centres or Nokia Care, if I took it to a repair shop in the next, bigger city, they would charge me 2-3 times more - and that's if they could repair it or get the spare parts.

I got it replaced at a Microsoft service centre in Tamilnadu, India for 600 Indian Rupees. Itnis functioning normally now.

Right now I'm only using the Galaxy S5 as my N8 won't charge or turn on any more. Maybe I should order another battery. I had problems with charging even before, but I'm not sure if it was the battery or the charger connector or both.

Stylish, fast and easy-to-use smartphone. I am very satisfied with the configuration. Mine is almost 7 years old and still works like new. I like the 12MP camera, storage, loudspeakers, battery and weight. In my opinion, Nokia N8 was a very successful release. Thanks Nokia!

The reality is Nokia N8 is the best hardware till date. No other company made such kind of hardware till date. Neither Iphone nor Android supported phone made by any company do have such feature. American don't want to see anybody better than them , so microsoft bought it and than destroyed Nokia. Can any company in this civilized world provide android or anyother software to this phone. Do they hv similar feature phone. No certainly not. This was bad luck of symbian lovers. I am challenging Android try to make any similar kind of hardware phone n try to provide software for that. Cheers ! wating accept my challenge.

Update : W.e.f June 30,2017 WhatsApp will be defunct on this phone as the company is withdrawing support for Symbian S60 Platform(which includes the Symbian Belle on which the N8 is presently running) while The support for Nokia S40 devices is till December 31, 2018. But nonetheless, Let's keep this good thread alive by great memories. Good times.

Well, whatsapp is a server based app. It is pretty much nothing you can do about the fact that symbian was killed a loooong time ago. I am tough still surprised people uses it. Not because is not great. I used symbian more then 10 years, just cause today, it makes no sense anymore. They pretty much made sure of the fact that symbian is dead. So, people, their are pretty good phones for a cheap price, try them, windows and android can be used for a really small price. See what you like and buy better devices after deciding. Let your n8 be great. Mine is fully working, original battery, 1 day hilding after 5 years of use. And will be their when i will be 60. Cause is a jewelry. But well move on. This comes from a symbian fanatic. Well some things just go and people have to move on.
