I bought the phone from Nokia on 11th November and it died on 21th November without any warning. I send it to Nokia Care and they knows about the problem. Be careful if you have any plan to buy Nokia N8, pros pond it to February/March 2011. Its a lots of money .........

According to this, all current Nokia N8's have defects on its board. When the phone overheats, the board gets damaged and the contacts on the board to the ROM get lost thus resulting to frequent reboots and eventually turning your phone dead. The soldering machine used in the current N8's is of mediocre quality and has limited resistance to overheat. The frequent reboots that you encounter is not software-related but because of faulty hardware. Even if you are not experiencing it now, you will soon experience this problem as you use your phone because all N8's are equipped with this same faulty hardware. The best time to buy an N8 is on February or March 2011 when the 2nd batch of N8's with improved hardware get shipped already.

I bought N8 less thn a week and i found that i was a amazing and nice phone but there also a weeknesss....it spoilt so fast...i mean the phone cant on and charge....is it unlucky or every N series will be like that cuz previously i am using N95 and that phone happened to be the same as N8?????

N8 is a beast phone
all features differ from the iphone and galaxy who copy each others ideas
ipad-Galaxy tab
N8 has features that other phone companies will now try match
dont count Nokia out believe it or not they are leading the way in the phone industry

just got it, broken within 4 hours, looks good, couldnt understand how to work it(unlike me) sim card was a faff an now cant get it out waited weeks for it now sending it back. what a waste of time

have n8 for two weeks... ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT.. previous user of iphone 3gs and se x10... while 3gs was a great one (not feature-rich though), x10 totally sucked... n8 got it's own beauties for those who can utilize it...
