when i hear the music from n8 with the given earphone,it is not as loud and clear as my n95 8gb,x3. If i give n95 8gb's earphone music quality 10 on 10 then i will give n8 4 out of 10.is all the n8's music same as mine? I think it isn't matching with the 3.5mm port.btw the earphone matches with x3,n95 8gb and delivers superb sound.

Hi guys, im looking for a fone with low resolution, i really hate high resolution, im using a 42 inch TV for my PC, with the resolution set to 320x240, i juz love it. Im trying to explain to ppl with 800x480 and 854x480 cellfones that its impossible to use those high resolutions, and that low resolution is the future. I hope next year there will be lower resolution but for now i am willing to settle for 640x360.

I also need a processor that was obsolete since 2 yeas ago, so i was happy to see that N8 has a superslow ARM11.

Its equally important that the touch UI feels like something from 2006, i was very happy to hear symbian^3 is not a big improvement over s60.

What do you say guys, does N8 fit my requirements perfectly?

Maemo, I think will be discontinued but support will still be there I just don't know until when. They are now putting a new OS for their future phones, the full Linux-base MeeGo (Android is also Linux but half-breed. This is the product of the merger of Intel's Moblin and Nokia's Maemo. MeeGo was already released and you can install it in N900, hopefully it can also be installed in N8 with a dual-boot capability like N900.

nokia always keeps up its brand excellency, im one of the user of n8, great clarity obviously with 12 mega pixel camera, very good battery life, hd recording clarity is just unbelivable its fun downloading games from ovi store, very comfortable add and delete touch short cuts, its fun with themes on the dispaly , just simple to use and a must have hand set for all those looking for a good phone with all specifications.

I think Nokia got a bad timing on releasing this phone. I though that phone will kill android phones and the iOS. but it seems the don't. one thing what's wrong about this is that the phone is slow, according to what i saw in videos in youtube. sucks a lot. why not trying a maemo os in N8? Nokia officially lost in the battle. they might need to buy Windows phone 7 OS.

deepest_sense, 21 Nov 2010What is the function of the 512 MB ROM?ROM (Read-only-memory) is an internal storage media or an integrated circuit where all the back-up/support files of the mobile phone is stored. The firmware is inside the ROM or sometimes ROM is regarded as the firmware.

Symbian 3 and all other upcoming Symbian OS versions that will be used on Nokia phones will now be develop directly by Nokia Corp engineers, which was previously done by Symbian Org. But the copyright and sales of Symbian will still be under Symbian Org.

Hope this is a good step in developing Symbian OS much better 'cause now nokia can do by their own the demands of its users and the necessary improvements.
