i have no idea why my answer to this got deleted, i just sayed my opinion and what i have seen and learned. I even sayed N8 is best nokia phone ever.
so now i say, both are true it's all about what you like and do with your phone.
for example if you like to take best pictures go for N8, if you like to surfing on internet a lot, pick something else. There's no right answer

Been playing with my Nokia N8 for almost 10 hours now.
I am falling in love with it.
Absolutely amazing device.
Photos are top notch.
Installed
- Opera
- Energy Music
- Angry Birds
- Need for Speed
- Currency Convertes
- Weather Updates
I did get memory full message once but then I open 10 apps at the same time.
Sound is amazing.
Memory Card had 1500 photos. Took 15 minutes to read for the first time.
No Hanging problem as of now as I reached count of 22apps at one time. This was only for testing though.
When multiple apps are opened, closing is not so fast. You try to close them but they stay open. No complaints regarding GPS.
Inbulit browser is not so bad but will prefer OPERA Mobile. But Opera Mobile doesn’t support Multi-touch so it’s like no clear winner.
Battery have died within hours of use but that is, I am constantly doing something.
All and all I think I made a nice decision and I have chosen to go SIM Free in UK. Reason being, I don’t want any career to modify the internal software.
What else, I am loving it.
Sound quality is good via Bluetooth. Have tried
- Sony Ericsson MW-600
- Nokia BH-905
- Sony DR-BT21G
The supplied headset are also good. I am not fan of a charger.
My Seagate 250GB hardisk is not recognizes by USB OTG functionality.
Video playbook is so cool. Without encoding loaded 2 movies and here we are.
Video recording quality is not likeable but audio recording is top notch.
I would say, no regrets provided it doesn’t die.
I would be happy to take any questions.
And one more thing SWYPE is too cool.

but i think they did the same thing as with the N900 cause they have in eat headbuds so it improves sound quality without having the need to actually tamper with the equalizers sinc they have some set up already

Just hit options at bottom of screen and there it is staring you in the face. Constructive criticism is good though. Lets Nokia see where they can improve.

i am getting a nokia n8 blak colour i can c it has a lot of potencail nokia need to upgrade there bugg sortware its a software issue i wonder if i would be able to record a video using the xenon flash that would be good to i hope that comes in the next firm ware update the best phone on the market best camera and best built phone in history not like iphone 4 i hate apple there limitated nokia rocks

So now you see how people act when THEY dont use nokia they are theme selves software developpers in magor companies and never get the symbian opensourse code . Thats lame . Software is also often available on symbina for years now iphone takes over in minds and people dont see there is a android a symbian a wp7 a linux or windows app that dose it but the focus is all on avoiding linux on smartphones so thay have to put it so we dont see it as a linux smartphone .
Linux is the way to go . Same as symbian maemo

you're so "PAKIPOT", if ur gonna gave me either wave or n8, i'll choose the wave, if wave and galaxy s, i'll choose the android, if galaxy s and iphone 4, i'll choose the iphone 4, if that sum1 will give it to me...
but if choose which one to buy, i'll go with wave...

like the xm5800 the spec says 81 mb in the C: drive but actual memry available for user is about 50mb only...

I own both the Galaxy S and the N8 -- and I prefer the N8 over the Galaxy S. I've also tried the iPhone 4, and while it's nice I cannot justify the much higher price Apple charge for it, especially when considering iOS limitation.
First, the N8 is much cheaper than both the S and the iPhone 4. The N8 is not even in the same price range as those phones!
Here's the list of things I prefer in the N8 over the Galaxy S:
- Pentaband 3G: it's good that I can choose either AT&T or T-mobile unlike other phones.
- Anodized aluminium body, unlike the S' plastic fantastic body!
- The camera & lens & flash are much better than on the S, and wait the S doesn't have flash!
- HDMI port, I can easily connect the phone to my high def TV, not so with the S.
- The bundled headphones that come with the N8 are much nicer than the one that come with the S. Samsung doesn't even provide an audio remote control to the pricey S.
The only advantages the S have over the N8 are the SMOLED screen and the larger Android app library. However, Android also comes with Android fragmentation issue -- go search on this, Android is heavily fragmented at both the OS and hardware levels.
And yes, the iPhone 4 is very nice; I've tried it. But no iTunes for me thank you, at least for the present.
So please... don't assume that people who like N8 haven't used the other OS. They have. I do. And no I don't think Symbian^3 is inferior to other mobile OS at all. In many areas Symbian^3 surpasses other OS; its speed is fine. The only beef I have with Symbian^3 is some apps are missing, but I hope that will change soon.

Galaxy S is great but the telephony not that good and if upgrade to Froyo reboots and the aps lag, and don't get me started on samsungs support!!! ,N8 has a great camera and Myltimedia but seriously symbian 3... cooomon i use all my life symbian and i know that isn't as fast as androind and the browser sucks also, and the only 700 Mghz procesor on the other hand Desire is great really.. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A PHONE FOR 6 HOURS that is...AND DOESN'T PLAY DivX and XviD plus np second camera??? where are we at 2005???
OOOOHHHHH and the iphone ...ohhh the iPhone has the apple sooo it must be good right... PLZ i will stab my eye...!!!!!!!
PLAIN AND SIMPLE NO PHONE IS PERFDECT,
we choose out phone acording to our needs... And if you are not a 15 year old who after batman and spiderman fights for phones the BASIC need is RELIABILITY and the most reliable phones are Nokia E series ..
