shakil, 20 Nov 2010guys, i m very much confuced, some body say its a very good... more"guys, i m very much confuced, some body say its a very good phone,some body say its not good, pls help me, which one is actualy true"
What i learned reading many many reviews and user comments, i can say people who previous phone was nokia phones like it very much, because it's definately best nokia device ever.
But then people who have used all kind new smartphones, htc desire, galaxy s, iphone. Say it's not that good compared to them.
If you are nokia user and really havent ever tryed other brands hi-end phones you are going to love N8
if you want best camera and like things like HDMI and USB on the go, N8 is very good for you, most of average users dont care those that much. But that's why we have options

[deleted post]I have waited that kind of post, first of all i didn't start this multitasking, some guy there sayed it's crap and i wanted to say its not that simple. By the way all of them don't freeze, apps what needs more function have it. But this is same all over, it is really pointless to speak about that with people who havent ever used it :D i just dont understand why people say something is crap without giving opportunity.
For example i'v been nokia "fan" almost all of my life, over ten year had about 10 different nokia phones, then i wanted something different i ever had any apple devices, but iphone looked interesting so i go to new world, and have to say it was my best phone by far. It's same than some people hating apple without even giving chance.

Hey all..
After using N8 for 1 month the things i have concluded are:
1. OS has been upgraded but in term of achievement Nokia ppl didnt done their work well.
2. Nokia although tried to bring all in one in dis monster but in making dey forget few ingredients like equalisers in music player, new web browser i mean eye candy would work sometimes.
3. N8 is comparatively laggy but for me its okay as i love and prefer Nokia above all other brands.
4. Social networks could be enhanced.
5. music quality in headphones is just on par.. i mean 5800xm perform better den dis. even my frnd wave provide better sound.
6. we all talked about the Amoled screen but still the screen lacks the brightness needed to outblow the colours of amoled.. i mean brightness is less compared to other amoled competitors like omnia hd.
7. Sometimes Ovi store behaves like a kid...arrogant..it doesnt matter how hard u try it will not make u download content nd yeah please give some rewards to application developers as the applications in ovi store is quiet less.
8. Camera...which is the main tag of this phone need some serious change in os...very much like nokia 6600.
Please nokia guys if ur listening help me out...i want all dese things rectified in update becoz i just love my n8 and all dese limitations annoying me...

errmm, i cannot view my camera photos on my n8. what do i do? everytime i try to view a photo, it freezes.

The phone is great, superb functions as well. To all users, just to share information with you guys, Nokia N8 has stop its production for a moment due to its faulty and unpredictable motherboard problems globally. That's why some customers complaint of their damaged N8 like auto-restart, laggy response and etc. They may re-produce it but don't know how long it takes, so for those who really wanted this phone very much, I suggest to wait for the new motherboard to be manufactured, I bet it'll be better

i would buy i ipod touch and use my n8 or other smartphone as roother . Point final nothing beats the man who knows how to use nokia

Sails, 20 Nov 2010And you read that second post too right ;) ?Now i readed i have no idea about that, i just sayed that app what i showed chance stepcounts at background. point was about counting footsteps and that app what i showed did that, i dont know how it does it. Still i dont understand why you need to run those apps on background, why dont run the example pandora background and left that running app to first app. The phone is in your pocket so where you need that when you exercise etc. Many of those apps have music player itselfs so you dont need to put app to background to change song.

If you are an internet& gaming guy....use iphone...if you are a video & photo fan....use Nokia N8...For me i'll buy an N8 coz there's a lot of things n8 can do than iphone...If you can't still decide...buy them BOTH...

OK :) we just tested it before i wroted about it, i havent ever tryed that, but luckily it has lite version so we installed it to my friend phone and it worked.
steps changed background. I think you are the who don't know :)
By the way, why you doubt my words? of course i dont say it's working if it's not, what's point with that?

To think of the video editor is too suffering . But it is understandable that editing 4000*3000 p photos and 720 p videos will definately lag .

That application will probably count steps from accelerometer while active and maybe even estimate steps while in the background, but it can't actually count in the background.

n8 is the 2nd best phone of nokia, best nokia phone is nokia n82 , and 3rd best nokia phone is nokia n95

it is laggy, i have no idea why they didn't fix it, like coverflow is so smooth, so i don't understand why that photo editor is so slow, is it heavier or bad optimization, i dont know, but weird.

http://mobile.viaden.com/runmeter-for-iphone.html this does that, and works background, count them on background too. Now we are at point what i already knew, only people who really have used iphone multitasking knows what you can do with iphone multitasking and what not, i can tell those what not things hasn't many :)
That's why i dont want to listen that crap from users who really havent even tryed it, they just say it's bad because apple made it, and that's truth. If android had same multitasking almost everyone screaming how well it works but because apple did it, it's like shit and all time joke etc.
Like i sayed earlier, i did same things what i did my nokia full multitasking, i didn't give up any function. But now with WP7 i'm again situation where i was before iphone multitasking :)
