i like my N8 although the apps are still not that many and the free angry bird game have only six games, also, the protuding camera is a little turn off and when making a call, if you hold it too close, you could sometime accidentally press on either the hold button or the dialler. otherwise, its a good phone for its price.

snonre, 17 Nov 2010'For the people defending N8 hardware against iPhone's or ... more"Btw, the n8 is a higher mid-range phone but the specs are good enough to compete with some higher end phones"

I totally agree with this. It manages to compete with the top.

[deleted post]"Saying you are working for a big company and you will get fired if exposed."

I didn't say it was a big company. They have business in three countries, but it's not what I'd call big. I have signed a contract of confidentiality, so yes, I could be fired.

"Symbian is a light OS compared to Android and IOS you as a reviewer or tester of some kind should know that."

That's a fallacy. Everybody knows Symbian suffers of inefficient access to system resources. It's just old. It's like saying Windows Vista is lightweight in the year 2020: Irrelevant.

They don't magically activate the latest sofware when your N8 pops out of the box. It's already done and there are people testing it, you know.

Touch is not up to the mark. HTC desire and iphone 4 has far better touch sensitivety... Nokia still has to long way to go

Why do CNET guys talk so much bad about N8? They promote apple & google phones like hell. It's getting on my nerves!

[deleted post]I had it before release and wrote a detailed review of more than 50 pages. GSMarena reviews are a joke compared with the work I have to do.

You FAILED, you had it before the release, so probably u got a demo version not the version that is released now.
My N8 does not lag or hand, i encountered no bugs yet.

So you get paid for your useless reviews, they should fire you.

For the people asking where to get my "more than 50 pages reviews": It's impossible for me to give it, I could be fired if i did. That's internal work for my company. Hell, I shouldn't even be here posting this stuff. If I could, I'd had a cool blog about it.

For the people defending N8 hardware against iPhone's or high-end Androids': Check CPU, GPU, RAM ammount and bandwidth, screen resolution and battery performance. Don't let the camera and the HDMI output to blur the whole picture.

I would really love to read the bit you wrote about the N8, ATM I don't care so much about the N9...
Maybe I'm not that up to date with your history here, it is only today that I saw your nick so for now I'm not ready to judge you being a troll or not.
I just cant comprehend the nature or a review that never sees the light of day on a site especially a 50 page one.
Did you not see my post before? Why cant we read your opinions on the N8? Is it non existent or what? Please kindly provide us with a link to it...

We are asked to do some quick reviews on prototypes (N9 being the latest. They wouldn't let it go out, so we had to test it at Nokia's facilities)and full blown reviews on final pre-release models and standard ones. They make us to test every other manufacturer for comparisons, so I'm really unbiased.

Anyways, I don't care if a lot of people don't trust my words. That's good, actually. I could be some random troll. But if I helped out a single reader, I'm done. Peace.
