Can Any one tell me whether N8 has custom equalizer settings? I don't like equalizer presets and love to set the way i like but i heard that it has only fixed presets which are not editable...Oh Nokia how could u forget this it is there in even the simplest phones..Anyway Please reply can we edit equalizer presets If Not i not going to buy this phone.....

Having had a chance to play round with this phone for a while, can give opinion a little better. The bad, selecting fildes by marking them, say for transfer, still the boring task of having to select EACH one to mark, no box to tick, that would be so MUCH EASIER! Keyboard is only mobile version in portrait, no qwerty! Wallpaper, just changing that you have double menu, and this is supposed to be 'simple'. The HDMI output is good, but could be better. The whole interface looks and feels outdated, no change on that opinion.
The good bits, build quality absolutely first class! Never seen such a well manufactured phone for years, solid and QUALITY. Feels a lot more expensive than it actually is. Screen too small, and could be better, does not always register your touch input. No ability to create personal graphic eq' preset, well cannot find one. FM transmitter very good idea, works very well. The camera is a masterpiece, cannot fault. Probably someone could fault it, I can't.
So to me a mixed bag, shame the operating system does not match the build quality.
Would highly recommend this phone at the price, it's quality but it's not that modern.

i bought dis fne yesterday ...it a beautiful fne got everything in .. its simple great ! i ave a iphone also both r xcellent at there spot but d only thing i m nt satified is the touch .. iphone has a much better touch dan dis !

I had a chance to play around with my friends N* today. Honestly.....besides the camera on this phone..... I feel that the N900 is better. The software has improved in speed etc, but is still the same old symbian. After having a N97, I do not want to see symbian again.
The phone specs look good on paper, and the hardware is good but it still lags here and there. It is a good phone and has all the features, but if you are one of the fanatics who want something new and fresh, try the other brands.

You saying you believe everything Google outputs is very contradictory. For example if you typed in "Nokia is the best" you could get hundreds of fan pages saying just that, would you believe that? Also do a run in support check and you'll see that Firefox is currently the best web browser in terms of user experience. Google maps is a great tool, I agree 100%. Android is a preference, there is no concrete evidence or ability that is possesses that would give it the classification of the best mobile OS.
Also I wouldn't follow SE fan pages for the X12, I understand you're excited but I could just as easily create my own fan page for the Nokia N9 given it unrealistic hardware and style that was crafted by the hands of god... but that would be delusional. Just wait for the official stats mate.

nope!the n8 is not the successor for the n900,n900 successor must have at lease a 1.5 ghz processor amloed display of about 500x1000 pixel 4 inch screen 1gb ram 2gb rom i.r to controle other devices.
