[deleted post]I didn't know that iPhone were for high class people. Coz I see many Grade 1 students, car park attendants, waiters, even toilet cleaner using it, whats so high class about it. No offence to the jobs mentioned I respect every decent job. I'm just trying to get my point across that its a normal phone just like Nokia and no phone is for high class coz it's for everyone.

clearly, this forum has become more of a battleground and the trolls just wont stay away.
back to the point, Blackberry torch is a good phone, with hardware qwerty being its only major advantage.
the N8 on the other hand, will do everything the BBT will, and give you a Monster 12MP cam, 720p video rec, HDMI out, USB On the GO, amoled screen, the best dedicated graphics processor(so that you dont require more ram and a faster cpu), Brilliant build quality, and almost everything you can think of.
Happy buying.

i am using n8 , i cant see facebook notifications on n8's built in mobile app . Can anyone help me on this , push notifications aside i cant see simple notifications on this facebook app . Other than this facebook glitch n8 is an awesome mobile!! But i need this facebook notification issue to be rectified as soon as possible

I wouldn't try to predict anything If I were you. YES the market now is dramatically different & it's like playing a whole new ball game in a whole new park with Multi touch & flashy UI but that's not all everyone wants *only*.
Having a pretty picture with no brains or judging a book only by it's cover is what some people appear to do with Symbian. yet I tell you i can do more with Symbian that you can with Android & Apple in ways that are not possible or implemented either at all or that well.
Nokia are on the verge of being able to turn their evolutionary leaps into revolutionary with the re writes & major changes to Symbian architecture, introducing the Hardware Abstraction layer, The new Micro kernel, the GUI elements & Multi touch is only the beginning.
Symbian has always been Higly optimized when using ARM processors for communications & Multimedia. Among them is it's most native support & most functionally complete abilities & possiblities.
Take for instance the customizablity for general user setting s & preferences & the ability to have control over how oyu manage your content or apply it within the OS.
The Protocols symbian supports, the networking is far superior, the interoperability between major OS is more supported. Symbian support more extensive everything, including more typers of applications & file format & their extensions.
I'm afraid the amount of capabilities Symbian has inside is far superior & advanced & I would take something that produces & provide & is efficient & reliable over how it looks anyday.

Symbian takes 3yr to update its browser which is finally coming soon. Responsiveness of n8 is simply terrible when i tested it at carphone and tesco in uk

People are using it since ages and apart from some minor changes, the subsequent versions look similar with some added functionality ( And some Eye candy). Symbian 3 is a new operating system. the reason it still looks similar to previous versions is because nokia wanted this to work flawlessly rather than to attract people with visuals.
this phone, with HALF the resources as the Galaxy S and that of iPhone 4 gives similar performance.
and if you guys want to compare OS, how about you compare Android Donut with this. You guys are comparing the advanced stage of android to a new OS ? let this OS settle down, and it will surely give android a run for its money !!!!
I wont even talk about the IOS.

My toshiba tg1 also has 1ghz processor instead of slow processor in n8. I using iph4 now and can;t stop loving it

Yes, you can be online on yahoo and gtalk and use it for chat. there is an Onboard QWERTY keyboard and the SWYPE will be available soon. You can also make video calls through wi-Fi Using "Fring" (you tube it).
this is a brilliant phone.
it also comes with all inds of possible connectivity options.
FYI, you can also use an external USB keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse or vice versa at the same time, and if you use the HDMI to transmit it to TV, you have a FULL COMPUTER EXPERIENCE.
NO OTHER PHONE IN THE MARKET GIVES SUCH AN EXPERIENCE TODAY.

Tesco in uk just reduce n8 price to 310. This phone is doing very bad in uk.
