About the sliding cover on the phone I managed to not worry about it as almost all phones be it any brand does not have a sliding cover nowadays. My N86 with the sliding cover scratched my lens side whenever I open and close it so for me good riddance to the cover.

Nokia N8 is a dream come true set. Its xenon flash and 12 mp camera is fantastic. And the phone is desgined so perfectly. Very speedy. And the web browsing speed is so good and gives a feel of a laptop. The single thing that disappointed me there is no camera sliding cover for the lens. Thankyou.

charging, 07 Nov 2010so use the n8 factory partially charged battery until it c... moreYup thats right, use the factory charge till the Low battery warning is displayed not till the phone turns off. Than, charge it as usual like eg 2 hours till full. No point charging it 8 hours coz once the battery is Full it will automatically stop charging the battery it's a feature in most smartphone. Not forgetting than the Nokia manuals also states the same. We would only charge 8 hours if we're using a Nimh battery like in the good old days.

[deleted post]1st video the guy is from Thailand and I'm half Thai as well so I understand what's he's talking about. Anyway he's using 3G and in Thailand the 3G base station is limited meaning they are placed far apart so network is not so good. Anyway he wasn't making a call.
2nd doesn't exist.
3rd video well he was using 3G as well but the reception bar was not empty it was at one bar. Please use your eyes to look at it carefully. Even with one bar Nokia can still make calls. My Nokia can make calls without dropping even with one bar eg, at maybe Basement 2 car park or in a elevator which iPhone cant do.
Anyway certain places does not have very good signals for example basement 2 carparks, underground trains or maybe in a lift. Thats when my iPhone lost out to my Nokia.

What I really care is the rest of the world like Europe and especially Asia which has the World's most populated countries. Try asking every 100% of US citizen to buy an iPhone and try asking maybe just 50% of Chinese, Indian or Indonesian Nationals to buy a Nokia. The figures of Nokia would kill off US figures but folds.

[deleted post]Yup I saw the videos but when making calls it does not drop the calls. Nokia has been making mobile phones for years even before Apple came up with the idea of making phones so even if Nokia uses their technology years ago they still wouldn't drop calls. Its a Mobile phone company vs a Computer company. You buy a car from a car manufacturer not a Washing machine company. I'm a Mac user and hope Apple will improve alot but till Apple comes up with a phone that is worthy to compete with the best than its not in my list.

I just though that something I should include from now on as Standard in my posts is quite obvious. Here is the syntax for Apple users to decode & understand first before they read & decode the 8th line

SYMBIAN > IOS
Clearly there is a Greater than distance between the two. I must say so. Chump chump chump!

Was able to use N8 for a few days. I'm very disappointed with it. It is not as smooth as other Android units as well as the iPhone. The web browser has flash but the screen lags. It's a shame because the design looks very solid and sleek.

Heres my example to High Class numpties to see if they get the idea.
A building site worker is adament he has all the tools he will need to carry out his required operations within his contractual requirements & out of them. Yet no matter what he has with him he finds that he still misses some absolute neccessary tools to carry out his operations. He find that the tools are not their because the numpty didn't know he should be carrying them which is something all building sites are required to do as standards.

There is no Shazam and Swype for N8 yet, where is a froblem guys ???Phone announced April 2010 so every sites has a plenty of time to work well n they didnt ;-(

[deleted post]I didn't know that iPhone were for high class people. Coz I see many Grade 1 students, car park attendants, waiters, even toilet cleaner using it, whats so high class about it. No offence to the jobs mentioned I respect every decent job. I'm just trying to get my point across that its a normal phone just like Nokia and no phone is for high class coz it's for everyone.
