Anybody can confirm? They say you can no longer edit song details and album arts in the music player on N8. Is it true? I hope Nokia enables those functions on the next firmware update.

NOKIA N8 EPERIENCE UPDATE
ON the last note I said; the constant asking for network connection has been disabled! yay!
If anyone is experiencing the same thing and don't know what to do, here;
go to settings, click on application settings, click on positioning. From there you can choose your preference of how your phone can lock on a gps satellite. I have left it to only INTERGRATED GPS.
LETS TRY NOT TO TALK SO MUCH CRAP AND FIND SOLUTIONS

NOKIA N8 experience update;
Opera is surprising worse than the standard nokia browser. Opera crashes in certain webpages ex. Facebook, yahoo mail, metro. Just now, it crashed and restarted. Nokia browser is ok but an even BETTER ok at the moment.
Whether on camera with gps location on, or on ovi maps, it's CONSTANTLY asking you to choose a network to connect to. VERY ANNOYING.

For the usb on the go feature, you must have your memory stick runing on thr fat 32 file system, because ntfs format didnt seem to work.

Probably a Hybrid. lol Neither a Mobile nor a Tablet neither a table top stand, but a Mobile computer maybe.
Although Android phones which run Gingerbread are apparently pure form factor Mobile Tablet computers probably & not hybrid. Meego devices will be official Tablet Computers also!

Depends what you intend using this device for, if as a camera, maybe a good choice. As a smartphone, maybe average. Let's compare two handsets on pay-as-you-go, in Britain. N8 £329 Tesco, ZTE Blade aka San Francisco on Orange £99. I don't work for Orange so don't think I'm biased here! At £99 you get a 480x800 Oled display, capacitive one at that and IT ROCKS! Android 2.1, a fast GPU, but a processor similar to the N8. N8 640x480, and having seen them side by side, the only 'better' in N8 is contrast ration, only just better though. Audio much better in N8 though, camera junk in Blade, true. But bang for buck, and quality that you would never expect from ZTE that rivals Nokia, the ZTE screen is glass, and can tell you scratches with great difficulty, unlike HTC Desire. The Blade runs NFS, almost as fast as N8, but at greater resolution (provided you close all background apps running) I intend to get an N8, as love the idea of easy HDMI connection, and USB on the go, but apart from that may actually be thinking the Blade is the flagship handset, and better, how odd when you think of price differential. Nokia have good build quality (apart from my 5230 with its THIN plastic that still makes odd creaking noises, yuk!) Time will tell if N8 is another N95 for them. Too late mabe, better out there perhaps, at similar or cheaper price

can i ask, when you receive a text message on this phone, do you get the usual nokia standard '1 new message' or does it show the name of the person texting, as on samsung etc.
Thanks

These specs just do not bode well when paired with Android. It's going to have to have one serious energy source.

Nameless, 02 Nov 2010'say the analysts?' Stop believing the FUD, they are paid t... moreWell said. You can make your own cables using wires & plugs from standard home appliances. There is no point paying stupid money because people who have great hearing, even engineers can't hear the perceivable difference.
There is so much noise that the human ear cannot pick up. The frequencies are never the same frequencies, they always somehow change. Something science can't explain. It's a phenomenah where the perceivable variables will always be variable.
I think people just think a perceptional change has taken place. With psycho acoustics, the same can be said. Whether a change in the aoucstic soundstage really changes based on the amount of physical noise from lights, electricity, circuits. Could actually help lessen noise etc. etc.
I have bought aktimate maxi speakers. But with the replace polarities you'll be surprised to hear a little bit more warmth from switching them & tye channels.

Dear all I'm a regular reader in this forum.and almost everyday i used to come here cuz i simply love this site.
First of all I'm a fashion designer.so I'm not a technical person.now I'm using nokia e61i and i had nokia e90 which i broke by myself once a very midnight cuz my girl friend annoyed me badly.however 1 month back i buy nokia 5233 and just btd10700 that means only 160usd.ok my plan had to buy nokia n8 but due to delay iv to choose another option as my 2nd handset as 5233 and this is my first touch screen phone.
Ok before i purchase i knew it very well that it does t even any office application no zip manager no adobe reader no gps even poor audio quality without hand s free.i don't even choose 5230 it has gps though.
ok i don't v proper idea about google os but i know about i phone.but from the very beginning i just hate it cuz price factor and limitation you all know such kind off issue.
Now why should i pick this 5233 cuz i know how to manage out now i v all those software quick office, adobe zip manager, win rar, oxford ,spb shell 3.7 which all are free.right Now my music player is open spb open, total recall open auto hello open, blacklist open, auto lock open, opera mini 5.1 with swype open.what I'm trying to tellin u guys this is nokia and there os, this what they can do.my ph not even hackl like my e61i
I ll buy n8 once price ll fallen cuz current local shop owner asking 65000bdt almost $950
last word nokia n8 ll be an unlimited possibilities.
