If you are ok with the 5 mpx camera without flash , than go for Samsung Galaxy. Other than that , it is a good phone when compare to the others.

n8 is a wonderful phone its functions are awesome excellent camera quality its processors is very fast it is better than any phone its sound quality is awesome overall iam very happy using this phone

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010battery not replaceable?! its Garbage!Maybe they have done this to make it more rigid and tough, less movement, less chance of damaging your unit. But N8's battery was made superb so it will last longer plus they include a really portable charger and you can also charge it using the included USB cable to make it more easier to charge. And anyway you can replace the battery if you have tools or else send it to a capable technician to do it for you.
By the way, iphone is like that also.

Does anyone know if BIS (Blackberry Internet Serv... moreBIS is only for blackberry...Nokia hast its owb email/internet service, the OVI Mail. Actually it has a unified email client that you can configure to manage all your email accounts in one (yahoo mail, gmail, hotmail etc). It is written in the manual and you can also visit Nokia site.
But take note that all internet/email clients from whatever smartphne are network provider dependent. Means you have to apply for a mobile internet package data to connect to internet wherever you go, or you can use WAP/3G connection (more expensive), or use wifi connections.

i am a proud owner of N8.. i have a problem...my phone k... moreMore detailed solution for disabling wifi automatic connection:
Step 1: Goto Settings->Connectivity->Settings->Destinations
Step 2: Move your default WAP/GPRS web settings (E.G O2 Prepay WAP) to internet (If its not in there already)
Step 3: Inside 'Internet' press and hold your WAP/GPRS settings -> Press 'Change Priority'
Step 4: Touch your setting that is at the top of the list, they should swap places
Step 5: Press Back Twice (So your at the Settings Screen (Top option should be Switch to WLAN))
Step 6: Set 'Switch to WLAN' to manual
Step 7: Set 'Data use in home network' to Always Ask
Step 8 Set 'Data use when roaming' to Always Ask
( Do Step 9 & 10 If your wifi is connected whilst doing the previous steps)
Step 9: Press back, press 'Connection Manager'
Step 10: Press and hold wifi connection and then disable.
