The reality is Nokia N8 is the best hardware till date. No other company made such kind of hardware till date. Neither Iphone nor Android supported phone made by any company do have such feature. American don't want to see anybody better than them , so microsoft bought it and than destroyed Nokia. Can any company in this civilized world provide android or anyother software to this phone. Do they hv similar feature phone. No certainly not. This was bad luck of symbian lovers. I am challenging Android try to make any similar kind of hardware phone n try to provide software for that. Cheers ! wating accept my challenge.

Update : W.e.f June 30,2017 WhatsApp will be defunct on this phone as the company is withdrawing support for Symbian S60 Platform(which includes the Symbian Belle on which the N8 is presently running) while The support for Nokia S40 devices is till December 31, 2018. But nonetheless, Let's keep this good thread alive by great memories. Good times.

Well, whatsapp is a server based app. It is pretty much nothing you can do about the fact that symbian was killed a loooong time ago. I am tough still surprised people uses it. Not because is not great. I used symbian more then 10 years, just cause today, it makes no sense anymore. They pretty much made sure of the fact that symbian is dead. So, people, their are pretty good phones for a cheap price, try them, windows and android can be used for a really small price. See what you like and buy better devices after deciding. Let your n8 be great. Mine is fully working, original battery, 1 day hilding after 5 years of use. And will be their when i will be 60. Cause is a jewelry. But well move on. This comes from a symbian fanatic. Well some things just go and people have to move on.

form use ovi stor we need put the date to 2011 , instal upgrade of ovi and we can put the date to 2017 and use ovi

Sadly, OVI store is dead long ago, so is the original Nokia who made it. You can try http://applist.schumi1331.de/ for apps, and as for refreshing software, maybe custom firmware but it's complicated to do.
