The screen of my N8 went blank for over two years now. I wish to start using it again. How can I replace the screen? She is still my best phone till now.

Well, after dropping my Zenfone 2 and then my Samsung S3 gave up I have had to revert to my N8 for the last few weeks...not a bad phone but small, slow and as Nokia have stopped some of their services no access to email and others...

My battery was giving up, had to charge it 2-3 times a day, and when I opened the phone I saw that it started swelling. So, I ordered a new one from eBay and it arrived last week. It's probably not original Nokia, but to my surprise I still have around 50% of battery left before going to bed. If anyone needs a new battery, I got it from a seller called ihome-come for 3.71 Euro, free shipping.

N8 Fan, 07 Feb 2017It was perfectly working before the flashing. I used Phoeni... moreit should work in flashing it in dead usb mode. The software has clashed. Plug your fone to a charge though you will not see the battery signal or any sign of charging but it will be charged believe me. Keep the fone plug for at least 1hr 30mins. Now connect the fone to your PC and open phoenix and select (no connection) as this leads to dead usb mode. Now flash it with the neccessary firmware. All the best.

Was it completly charged?
What Firmware were you trying to install?
And what version of Phoenix were you using?

My N8 died when I reflashed it with Phoenix. I tried it with dead flashing but it did not help. What should I do? Pls help.
