I am satisfied with my mobile device it has everything, bulletin camera, 500gig internal storage4 gig RAM, i7 processor. Skipe for my phone needs

This is a notebook it got all the specs you have on a mobile phone it even has a hardware 3d processor. I can play almost any game out there, I can emulate all platforms.
So don’t fight YOU ALL DON’T KNOW what you are missing on your mobile device

Anonymous, 26 Oct 2010OS android new Generation of what is popular in this time a... moreSymbian OS is not really outdated as some people like you is thinking, it is upgrading. Symbian OS continues to change & improve, see Symbian generations S20--S30---S40---S60---S90--UIQ---S2---S3 and coming soon is S4. This is just like Windows OS for computers that continues to change and improved. The big difference between Symbian and other mobile phone OS is it's being lightweight and fully open-source.

I beg to differ. I too have the iPhone and just sold my Galaxy S on eBay. And yes, just received the N8 last Friday. Although Symbian is old is very streamed lined and works 101%. Multitasking is basically non existent in iPhone and Android has a cumbersome way of dealing with it. Symbian on the other hand is 'born' to multitask. Of course the graphics in the camera menu is old but it works and it works well and here is where Nokia scores. The video zoom is the best ever in a cell phone. I still have not figured out how they do that. N8 will rule the market for a while - if the Nokia haters agree or not :-)

I owned and owning the HTC Desire, BB 9800, iPhone and had experience with most other phones such as Samsung Galaxy S and Wave. I had to buy the Nokia N8 since i bought Nokia for over 15 years and had to stop buying about two years ago due to many problems. Anyhow, I think N8 is great phone compare with other Nokia phones in past but it is not as good a my other 3 phone. The quality of phone, Camera are great. But problem is the Old and outdated OS by Nokia. Even gsmarena admit this i their review. Why Nokia no start with new generation of OS and give up on Symb.?

Dan, 26 Oct 2010What new OS, Android? Android OS is a half-breed Linux, it... moreOS android new Generation of what is popular in this time and age. Everything has to go to end after so many years that i why Symb. OS is no longer good and popular. Everything by time change can not sell same OS for so many years. Before software tech was not so advance and now is. So, Nokia has to let go and Adopt to new OS made by them or outside source. Even can see in gsmarena suggest same about Nokia Symb is outdated and behind Androind, and iSO 4. why you guys so closed minded and no help Nokia do better in future instead want to stay with the old thing

i keep on laughing, reading some bashing comments... don't get to obvious bashing N8 then promoting other brands haha... poor all of you! all i can say is that don't purely rely on this thread... make experience on your own and you'll know the truth!

Dwane, 26 Oct 2010Thank you for your advise but the only thing I put on the p... moreSorry to hear about your experience. But my experience is contrary to yours, I had Nokia since 3210 model and never had experience lagging or hanging. Exception is my N82 now which I experienced hanging because it felt down hard to the ground at least 5 times now but before that it was great. I packed-in a lot of applications in it and it functions well. Multitasking, well, how is it to run a Call manager on the background, virus scanning and playing movie at the same time without hanging. That is why I still keep my N82 but for a lesser function and I had purchased a new N8, so far so good but too early to judge its overall quality.

Android OS is a half-breed Linux, it is popular now because it's new, let's see if it will last long like the Symbian OS does. And one more thing, pray that Google wins the left and right lawsuit filed regarding copyright infringement of their Android OS, if they lost Android OS will die very young.

Read the qt news on nokiablog, the developers say its very easy for them to create better looking ui with the kit, and its too easy to write codes. Developers familiarize qt code very easily and develop gem of app. Some great games like avatar, hero of sparta, nfs are good examples. We never saw games exceeding 100mb on mobiles.

I know some like n95 and n97 did hang.
I got my n8 last week and its just blazing fast. I've on an average 5app continuesly running and not a single lag till now...

I've been using Nokia so called top end Phones , just name it . from E series to N series and now the C series.

The facts that Nokia phone is slow and hangs frequently exits in all the models that I used.
They can upgrade this and that firmware , but they will never solve the problem of lagging and hanging.

This N8 will be just another flop lika N97.

Some of the countries the launching is still being delayed.

Still can buy Nokia , but not smartphone.
                                        Enough is Enough.
