I've been using Nokia so called top end Phones , just name it . from E series to N series and now the C series.
The facts that Nokia phone is slow and hangs frequently exits in all the models that I used.
They can upgrade this and that firmware , but they will never solve the problem of lagging and hanging.
This N8 will be just another flop lika N97.
Some of the countries the launching is still being delayed.
Still can buy Nokia , but not smartphone.
Enough is Enough.

ive got my N8 friday but give it a goood try all weekend but still got lots to explore.Its an impressive smartphone,hardware is awsome,lots faster than my N97/N97mini and 5800,the fone is responsive.all i can say is if you love Nokia then stay loyal,there on the way up+ all symbian4 updates and future tweaks,superb.

tecnology is always getting better i want nokia to make some thing super my only down fall i c in the n8 is no video light i think nokia should go back to the drawing board they did the same thing with nokia n82 and now this look at the other brand phones xenon plus video light and that is another feather that the n8 should of have its a camera phone with hd recording and whats with the red light it does nothing but take up space there is nothing to dream about this is reality any thing is possible nokia needs to step up there game they r the biggest mobile provider in the world they r leading the market if your the best make the best i am a nokia fan but they need to step up they game

really excellent smartphone,good build,battery needs a bit of setting up but so much in n8.Getting really popular near me and its now getting symbian4 updates.cool 9.5/10.really lovin n8

i dont care about what people said i still like this phone. its nothing wrong with this phone. best NOKIA phone. some people out of mind their brain dont work any more they just talk about phone phone phone.

I even got my i8910HD in London to use with T-Mobile here. I have 4 lines w/ T-Mobile and the 3 I use for upgrades for phones from them. But for me I always, always get an unlocked phone and so I got the N8. True, most US users do not see past whatever their services render them. That is why they believe so much on advertising. Lazy to research I guess. So sad but what you said is true.

Same here. I too am a very happy n8 owner. I wonder how many of this comments come from Nokia haters which never saw a n8 for real (never mind used one)

I'm happy with my N8. No real problems here.
I'm seeing a lot of people with issue. My response - dude, send it back and get another one, so simple.
I just love when people do a double take and they say, what kind of phone is that. Most US people don't look at unlocked phones....
People in US can't see past android phones and apple. I'm liking my N8. I don't want to be like everyone else.
I'll keep my N8 for about 2 years then get a nokia meego phone once they are rockn'...

The N8 must be reminding Nokia how wrong they got it with the N97, if they had of spent a little more on the OS and little more on the Processor they would of had a winner, instead the rushed it out and missed the boat. making a N97 on steroids won't cut it they've missed the boat.

Here's how I (a real user) rate it
For a 'phone' its 10/10 (good battery and reception)
For smartphone performane 5/10 (good hardware poor software and UI)
Build quality and design 9/10 (does look a bit like a shaver)
Happiness it brings 3/10 (slow, dull and buggy)
