USB on The GO is a feature where you can attach pen drive, USB hard disk in the mobile.
Now thats done with Female USB stick which is already present in BOX. Now when you connect any pen drive or USB hard disk it will recognize it as MASS STORAGE DEVICE ATTACHED. from where you can copy paste cut move do any thing.
Now when you attach any nokia device with this usb it will also detect uSB device attached. And if you attach any non nokia device it starts charging the other phone...
Hope its cleared now..

[deleted post]Nope. If it were available, you would have known it already (tv commercials, paper ads, you know...). I called the priority dealer in Dhanmondi, they said it'll arrive within this month, but couldn't give an exact date. You should better keep checking the newspapers for ads and related news.

Is this finally resolved on the N8?

The processor, display,Ram are integrant parts of a handset..We make our choices in buying a handset according to those aspects! Having the best camera on the market is not enought to regain the smartphone segment while you haven't improved too much other segments! Read the review! Gsmarena admits that n8 is the best cameraphone but overall it can't compete with Galaxy S! For many people the camera will be enough to buy this phone but i repeat..overall it can't compete with the Android high-end phones!

Galaxy Sun, 13 Oct 2010I'd give up the looks for having the best features anyday! ... moreWell, can you please explain what are the 'really' usable features of you precious Galaxy? Don't mention RAM, processor or screen tech, those are not features that add to the functionality. Re web browsing, I still prefer to browse on my 21 inch pc monitor using firefox. And design is a really important factor when you're buying something that costs around 500 euro. And you Galaxy owners should feel sad and cheated. Even after having the most powerful GPU in the market, you don't have a good, playable, graphics intensive games. And the heck, the 2.2 Froyo update isn't here yet. When it'll be finally available, there will be some bugs for sure and Samsung will never be kind enough to fix those as they'll be concentrating on the next big thing. It's amazing how nokia still supports the N95 (got a firmware upgrade 2 months ago). Anyways, hope you Galaxy owners don't end up like those Omnia HD owners...

@ all N8 users:
Is there any way by which we can select multiple items at one go?
My sister owns a 5800. In there, if we wish to mark some non-consecutive 10-20 odd messages from our inbox, we have to individually go to options>mark. It was really annoying. In a regular S60 phone with keypad, there was the "pencil symbol" key or the # key by pressing which we could mark multiple items. Is there any way we can perform the same without much effort on Symbian^3??

Galaxy Sun, 13 Oct 2010I'd give up the looks for having the best features anyday! ... moreyou are contradicting your favorite company ;).
Samsung too have its Bada OS, it doesnt mean that their samsung made android phones are bad ;)
and if you say that n8 has nothing special other than its camera,
same does applies to Galaxy which is a rip off clone or poor mans iPhone :(
Nokia caters to everyone.
If they work on meegoo it doesn't mean that symbian is bad.
Also i had never seen Nokia betraying their users in terms of
support like how Samsung stoped supporting its symbian phones or still not deliverign the android updates ;)
And by seeing the activity in n8 threads, u can guess how popular N8 is.
Even a staunch samsung fan like you are here ;)

Hi Guys,
Have any of you bought an N8??
Please do reply , if you face any problems.
Is this phone really worth the price?
Is it the best touch phone? Does it support all the picture graphics supported by Iphone?
Is the camera Quality Awesome, is it better than any Camera phone on the market?
Is it user-friendly? Can any person of any age group use this phone?
I want to really buy this phone. But I am still thinking, as whenever Nokia releases a phone, it is full of bugs and the Firmware is only stabilised later on.
Also does this phone support CDMA Sim cards? or is it again for only a GSM SIM?

velu, 13 Oct 2010But as far as build quality is concerned Galaxy is noway ne... moreI'd give up the looks for having the best features anyday! The battery life is not great that's true, but powering a superb display and a lightning fast net does come with a price! I preffer shorter battery life then an inferior display and proccesor! As for the update Galaxy has now 2.1 but it's still better then n8 in most aspects! In a short time the update will come and then the 512 RAM will be available! If Symbian is so good why Nokia ar working on Meego n9? The obvious answer is they know that they need a new platform if they want to take back the smartphone segment away from Samsung,Htc and Motorola! Since they have nothing better to put on the table they launch a phone which has nothing special except it's camera in the hope of gaining time! But looking how fast Android is developing when n9 will be launched it will have to compete againg Android 3.0 phones and i don't see them winning!

Right, this is it
GSMArena wrote a good, fair review although it had abit too much focus on the camera part. The N8 is a wonderful swiss army knife of smartphones even without the camera. Many of the software things they complained about are being fixed as we speak. The N8, at least for me, is worth every cent even without the camera, worth even more with it :D
I thank the ones who asked good questions from me and I hope I helped. The phone is now widely enough available here so that Im not needed here anymore, I have to focus on my studies again.
I will not be reading or posting here anymore, so good luck with your phones whatever u end up buying.
Hail N8, hail Nokia!
