Like what are the things that you didn't like about the phone and came below expectations (other than the user interface).

      Thank you.

I have just tried this phone and it's amazing! My two previous phones were LG, but now it's time for Nokia. N8 is the best phone ever. I was thinking about iphone earlier, but this is the iphone killer. I definetely recommend it to everyone. If your hesitating, just buy one. You wont be disappointed.

ramesh, 12 Oct 2010plz tell me if anybody used nokia n8 because i am confused ... moreI would agree to what "Wheez" said before, in order to define if this model is good for you or not you need to know what is your use or what is it that you need from the phone.

I could easily say that if you wanted a "well balanced smartphone" the N8 is an excellent choice. 2 days using it and it is lovely and I'm not regreting the waiting period and the delay in receiving it. :-)

Partha, 12 Oct 2010Can you please compare between the battery backup of Galaxy... moreIf I got the question right, you are asking about the battery life of the Galaxy S vs N8.

Both of them managed to give a reasonable use for a single charge. N8 is with now for 2 days and it is the one I'm currently using for all my communications and it is still at about the last 2 bars of the battery. The Galaxy S used to give me 2 complete days (or just a little before the end of the second day, about when I'm getting to bed). So It's hard to say which is performing better given that the screen of the Galaxy is 4 inch.

I got this based on the following use:
                  - (2-3) hours voice calls
                  - Many SMS and e-mails (I don't count but they are a lot)
                  - Some video calls (30-40) minutes
                  - E-mail is always on on gmail and company e-mail, checking every 15 minutes
                  - Internet browsing over 3G for about (30-45) minutes
                  - Taking picture and shooting videos as may be needed. I do that for both my work to record progress and personal to record the moments I spend with my kids :-) so it's quite a lot. An 8GB memory card usually fills up within (6-7) months then I have to remove the files on it to the computer and start it again.

I hope that was a useful response to your query. :-)

                  Regards & respect to everyone.

[deleted post]@Ronald I don't know exactly what type of mental problem you have (not that I care) however, I know as a fact, for the first time in a long time, Nokia is not able to cover the demand for this device. They have increased the unit price by quite some margin yet the public want's it at any cost ! There are no available figures as yet but both Apple and Android are taken by suprise.

But the times I've enabled it to use some websites that require it, it has worked perfectly.

As for that "N8 sucks" page. Really, look how close to perfect the N8 is when those are it's biggest issues ;)

That guy is also clueless, in the last pic he asks where the "/" is, it's behind the "1*" button. What an idiot, saying the phone sucks when he can't even use it himself

Friends! its a Lamborghini! Bought it 6 days ago, i noticed a few things that would have been improved. Remember this i am telling this from my experience,
1: The small menu botton at the front will be fadded away in a couple of months. The tiny plastic button would have been replaced by aluminum.
2:The bulging area around Camera should have had rounded and curve kinda placed it so it appears to be like pasted by a glue or it should have been in one piece with a curve for the extra room they wanted for thier splendid camera..... it really is a fabulous one!
3: It will give a shocking impact to the business returns of bulky torch and silky ipon. (i never mean iphone is bad or the torch, but Nokia have come up with some hardwork to stand as second to none with this thing.
All of us know its a very good phone.

Nokia should make some few games to challenge the good games that are not available yet in ovi store,

As for the phone freezing, you don't need to remove the battery, you just hold the power button for 8s to cut off all power, equal to taking the battery out, similar to laptops and computers.

I don't understand how anyone interested in N8 would even consider that, cos that's exactly the thing N8 is good at: not being restricted.

It's not the prettiest or fastest OS, but it's very capable. People most likely don't buy the N8 to get the fastest and smoothest phone in the first place, cos everybody knows Nokia has never valued that enough to sacrifice usability over it.
