I will say one thing only about this Phone it was worth the money!! it was everything i expected...When the N97 came out there was alot of hype about it...but it never lived up to its expectations the day it was released!! The n8 has lived up to its every possible known well fact!!! I love this phone The n8 rocks....

hayato, 11 Oct 2010If you want copy/paste feature, it's sad to say that if it'... moreThe first time I used Skyfire it wouldn't run properly because their was no S60_1 support for virtual keyboard. The second time I ran Skyfire with support for Virtual keyboard, with or without Turbo mode is took forever, slower than Nokia Browser. And that's saying something...
The third time I ran Skyfire again in a revised version. Flash would refuse to work on any site I surf. WT! Just great eh. So then I turn to using Opera Mini. I had the same fault with all the beta version & final official releases with that. No flash working at all. I gave up using Skyfire & Opera Mini. They did my head in despite saying fully compatible with S60_1... they obviously weren't.
What was the point in releasing the damn browser if they can't get flash working. I could open google, youtube & browser web pages. But no flash videos would work. Only the thumbnails will be rendered with all the other html css,xml,tags content etc... etc...

my brief history:sony eriksson w900(loved it,my son lost it,i thought i killed him),n95-8gig,omnia hd 8910, now n-8 got it 2hours ago. Hey!!!!! This is beond all expectations so far!!! It is so awesommmme!!!!! Right size,right speed,my gps grapped in 20 sec.!!! The only thing so far- cant save my songs from blue tooth from my old phone,othr then that so far- f&($&!ck-it is for myyyyyyy!!! played with droid x,loved id,camera sucked,good speed,ro biiig. Just get n-8 guyssss!!!k

Sorry that I havnt been responding. For some reason my laptop refuses to load up gsmarena, as if my ip wouldve been banned or something. My phone uses the exact same network but with a bit different ip it works just fine
Heading to sleep now, though.
For that someone saying to check out desire hd before buying. What? They are so totally different kind of phones that I think most people interested in the N8 dont find desire hd appealing.
Screen is too big for my taste, heavier, good specs but small battery to run the, and android, seems to be plastic, worse camera, no hw features i personally love like fm transmitter or usb otg, lcd screen instead of amoled, non existant internal memory by default, android (i prefer symbian at least for now), no bluetooth v3, no secondary camera, no real color options.
Some of the reasons i wouldnt realistically compare it with the N8, certainly it will be a succesful phone but competes for a whole other crowd than the N8 crowd.

the cheapest i have seen this phone in the uk is with tesco direct at £329.97 which is much cheaper then nokia are offering this phone direct from them selfs at £429..00 but i have gone for a 18 month contract with orange for 500 mins 3000 texts and 500mb of data and the phone is free but if you add my 18 month contract up it only works out at £66 more than nokia sim free
