I have been using my N8 for a few days now, and this is one pretty amazing phone. I Switched from iPhone to this, and I'm happy now, finally I have a phone that works well and is not married to my pc...

Helmut, 04 Oct 2010I've been using N8 for 2 days now. + fast and responsive ... morePal if you want portrait QWERTY, I think swype is already available for N8. you can download it from nokia betalabs. i have fun using it on my 5233. It would be even more interesting on N8 with the capacitive touchscreen and 3.5" diaplay.

Up to now' i use hundreds of nokia handset. Almost all NOKIA multimidea handset. and i am waiting for Nokia N8

I've been using N8 for 2 days now.
+ fast and responsive
+ UI good enough compared to iPhone/Android
+ Camera (fast, good quality for a camera phone)
- qwerty is portrait in portrait mode
- browser needs improvement (but is not bad, fast and has pinch-to-zoom)
And I tried HDMI out and it actually was fun to play Angry Birds on a big screen!
Highly recommended, never mind the negatives. Software is good enough, and hardware is superior.

See every device has some problem no smart phone is perfect, as per reviws posted here this is the worst phone ever made by nokia is this so?

Mainly cos no one who got their phones first have reported anything like that, especially not about the camera. Although theres always a chance that these negative people have gotten some faulty batch or something
Also, the camera is set to 9mpix by default

Hi, gys, hurry up, this is the time for lost ur mony , buy nokia n8 and lost ur money quickly. b coz, i am chain nokia user, but to b frank, n8 not good, i got this saterday, it is too slow ,main part, its camera, but that also not good, showing like 5 or 8 megapixel.and it is automatically turn off 3 - 4 times. Why Nokia cheat people like this? they have another too many way to earn money. that is better!!! really , anw I am trying to sell my n8.

But wheez distance can't make camera performance lower or unfocused.
Key feature in pictures quality when you want to decide about its resolution is visible pixels. pixels muse be obvious and sharp and not faded.
And camera phones don not need any setting before shooting. they are all automatic and don't have much manual settings. I havn't yet changed any settings in my n95 and its pictures are sharp clear.
