And I thought Bah ! Are you friggin kidding me ? You sure you didn't have the charger plugged in all that while ? :\

Nokia have 3 factories in China which produces phones in huge scale (more than 60% Nokias are made in China). The quality is still same as each piece goes from QA.

I had my N8 for 6 hours.
Even at a short time, I know how to manage it because I have watched a lot of videos of N8 published in different sites.
I love the screen. You don't have to worry for the nHD screen. It's very sharp and clear. The AMOLED display makes it brilliant. I still have my n900 with me. I noticed that N8 has a better sunlight legibility than my n900. The screen doesn't even look pixelated! no need to worry.
The camera interface was improved. I love the camera so much. The xenon flash is really helpful in dark places. I have tried video recording. Everything was clear even in zooming the fullest!
The signal never fail me! Shame on Iphone4!
The maps 3.0 is really a big improvement. It loads fast. Ovi 2.0 is great. I already have my swype for N8. Now texting on portrait qwerty. SO great. Im lovin it.
There are 3 main homescreen in the home. When you scroll it, it responds just fine. I like the cuztomizable wallpaper and widgets. I have not tried 3d wallpaper in N8, but I think it can handle 3d wallpapers and themes since it is equipped with Broadcom GPU and a 3d graphics accelerator. Can anyone help me where can I find 3d wallpaper for N8?
The speaker which is a mono speaker is really doing great. its better than the i9000's speaker. I wonder why these specs belie. Like also the 1200 mah battery. Ive been using it continuous 5 hours of
photo shooting, social networking and video recording. Not even a single battery drop down.
The web-browsing. It is better than the n97 x6 5800 web browing. But dont expect that it is as good as in n900's web browser. Multitouch is fine but slower than the multitouch in web browsing in iphone 4. But in pinch to zoom in photos, it works smoothly.
I assure you, Nokia will improve the web browser in future updates.
ATTENTION!
Nokia will add continuous autofocus in n8 is future firmware.
Do n8 has video stabilization like that in Nokia E7 because it is said in mynokiablog that it has video stabilization.
Ignore VINCENT, the KID! He's just like the people in Engadget, ELdar, and gizmodo!

Also, CNETs listed downsides for the N8:
# Software is confusing and frustrating in places
# Fewer apps available than with rival phones
# Poor social-networking integration
I think Symbian^3 is very logical and easy to use myself, fewer apps is true, but it's not like iTunes started with all those apps either, we gotta wait for N8 to launch properly and other S^3 phones as well and then see how it adds up.
Poor social-networking integration, he is really complaining that he can't have the full service on a widget size of 3 lines of text or something. Really? How about you start the application instead of using the widget if you wanna do more than a quick glance. It's like complaining that the email client is bad cos you can only see first 2 messages status on the widget.
He bashed the keyboard, I think it's really fantastic, I can already write really fast on it, absolutely loving it.
So basically he took 2 stars off cos of personal preference. Preferences and opinions are all cool, but that's supposed to be an unbiased review, he should write it more objectively.

jeghue, 04 Oct 2010Nokia N8 review....
http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-pho... moreAlso that site has user reviews 4½ stars up from CNETs 3 stars.
It's a trend to bash Nokia in media just cos it's Nokia. CNET, Techradar, Engadget and Gizmodo have done this and been bashed down by users for stupid, biased and rigged reviews/comparisons.

jeghue, 04 Oct 2010Nokia N8 review....
http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-pho... moreThat (and techradar) review has been marked as pretty poor journalism. He clearly prefers iOS/Android, which as it is fine, but he doesnt even MENTION USB OnTheGo feature, which is the most awesome feature in the phone pretty much.
Comparing pictures with a thumbnail sized pictures after lots of compressing when the native size is 4000x3000 pixels? Very smart.
Try to look for user reviews, they are very positive. This is finnish so you won't understand it, but you can see the stars, 5 is max: http://hintaseuranta.fi/tuote.aspx/424577#totsikko
The actual customers are very satisfied with their product.
