Indeed, that was the big fault in the N97, not just the small ROM, but the fact that many things were installed on the ROM. I think this issue has been long fixed by installing em on the mass memory instead where available. I checked the ROM/C:/ and there were no games/apps installed there.

S60v5 used the ROM for a majority of applications. That was the main reason for the problems with N97, which had only 256MB of ROM. This was rectified to a certain extent on N97 Mini by including a 512MB ROM. Can you just check your phone for the amount of available ROM at this moment and let me know. Your ROM will be listed as Drive C: on the phone. The reason I feel the ROM is inadequate is because both C7 and E7 have 1GB ROM.
Thanks.

Nokia Buff, 01 Oct 2010Hi Wheez
What is the amount of free meemory available to... moreROM is not used to install and save applications. The phone has a 16GB internal memory for that. ROM is mainly for OS related stuff like the OS itself, updates, etc.
The phone also supports up to 32GB memorycards.

This phone sounds awesome. Nokia is back in the play ground and sending the rest home. N8 over Iphone anyday. I have done several weeks research on which phone to get for my next one and have decided on the N8 for a number of reasons. One being the ease of use, the 12mp camera size to name two. As soon as this phone is out in the shops here in Australia I will be buying one. This is to be my Christmas present for myself. Have fun all and thanks.

You may be living in a more distant place where it takes a good amount of time to get from China or Finland where the phones are coming from.
