hello , i am a big fane with the N8 , but the thing that n8 is missing is the QWORTY keybored , and i need the keybored for gaming ......
so any ideas what i should do ?

in the philippine its reportedly coming either end of september or early october and the price will not be over 30T pesos. hope its true.

The amounts of preorders exceeded the supply, so probably the first batch of phones/whatever they have at hand now will go straight to preorderers and the "october/end of october" Nokias online stores are saying is probably closer to the reality in when we'll seem them available at 3rd party retailers.
However, what they have now will still get shipped during september to preorderers

All N8 will still ship in start of the end of September. so expect N8 to be in the stores around First days of October@!

Wheez, 26 Sep 2010I personally wouldn't want a 4" screen either. 3&frac1... moreI wouldn't say that a 4inch screen, hardware qwerty and 800mhz prossesor is the do all and end all of this phone. Its just that it would have been nice to have but its no train smash. I still choose this over the E7 packing the qwerty and 4inch. This phone is the bomb. You know, we as humans come in all different shapes, sizes, color and tastes. Heck, thats why Nokia gives you choice of even color!! Lol! Anyway, i use a 3.2 inch screen. 3.5 would do just fine. 4.0 would be abit too big for the pocket so i agree there but my point is that i have large gorilla fingers...lol!! So i think that a hardware keyboard would have been easier to type on, especially with its curved buttons. I've tried it and it works like a charm. Mind you, is doing a mighty fine job, even with my fat fingers!! As for the 800mhz, i was merely stating it as for a nice to have, especially with os changes in future. That would mean that certain upgrades to the os may not come due to this. There are nice new processors just released that dont sap power and mind you utilise the same power as a 600mhz processor. I've used a 600mhz processor phone before. Performance was zippy! 680 on this phone is even better and the graphics enhancement just sprinkles that magic dust on top of an already very impressive phone. Those mentioned ommisions were merely my thoughts. BTW, I have already pre-ordered my N8! I'm happy with what i'm getting even though i've only ordered after the E7 was announced. I've just been to the dealer to verify thats all cool with my order. Cheers to your thoughts and take on things! Cannot wait for my phone.

OK i just cant wain any more will have to buy a blackberry for the while. i love nokia but it seems like by the time this phone is out, it will be outdated. still want though, for now anyway

Mahyar, 26 Sep 2010which one in better to buy?n8 or e7??please tell me..E7 wont be out for a while, E7 has QWERTY, N8 doesnt. N8 has better camera, etc. Just compare the specs, the biggest difference is in the QWERTY and camera, which one do you need more?

[deleted post]I personally wouldn't want a 4" screen either. 3½" is already quite big for my taste and I want a mobile phone rather than a PDA.
As for the 800 Mhz, I dunno, the phone runs easily fast enough with the current 680 Mhz + GPU, I don't personally want a faster CPU to eat the battery. Then again, I don't value mobile gaming that much, but it's clear that most games that would be on other smartphones too would run just fine on the N8 if they were well optimized to take full use of the GPU.

Please try to get us a reliable source before you call out such delays.
Also, some people commented how N8 is almost perfect and could use ie. a hardware keyboard. No thanks, I do not like the limits a HW keyboard would make nor do I have enough use to warrant one to make my phone uglier.
There's like zero things I would like to change in the N8 currently. For you QWERTY lovers, wait for the E7 :D

Nokia N8 will release on Januray 2011 , my friend is working in Nokia company he told me the inside story that finally it will be releasing on Januray 2011 for the New Year Celebration Day !!!

Nokia , bring in your N8. ........What caused the delay.....like tortise...so slow. Delay for another 2 weeks. Launce in early Oct in Singapore. Maybe delay again,,,,,
