It's quiet in here, everybody is having a life on friday evening, shocker! :D
I like how the daily interest has grown back to 80%, it went from 95% to 67% or so when E7 and C7 were announced at Nokia world.

I work for telecom giant in the caribbean and I get half off on all handsets. I decided to try the bold 9700 if i dont like it I will pass it on to my girlfriend and purchase the N8 when it is finally released.
I always use nokia because of the build quality and the support I have received. If it aint broke why fix it? so I dont wanna change and try other manufacturers only to be dissapointed. My last phone was a nokia E63 but my girlfriend kept begging so I gave it to her hopeing to get the N8 september month end. in the mean time i have been using a samsung b130 as a temp. but that cant cut it anymore i need a smart phone.
So i closed my eyes and bought the blackberry. maybe around Christmas I will buy Nokia flagship or try the new windows or android, it all depends on this site reviews and most important the user reviews.

Love it.
but rom, ram and processor cud be better.
I mean 512 MB RAM, 1 or 2 GB ROM and ARM 1GHz processor.
super amoled instead of amoled wud be great (thanks God its not resistive :)
love everything else though.
Not sure if symbian 3 will play the magic until its mature and think of it if the phone is hanged due to this, you can not just open the rear to pull the battery which sounds horrible (Nokia, are u gonna make symbian 3 really bug free?)
Gorilla glass is good and i wish this is not like other brands offering 30 times stronger than plastic glass and still scratched and broken easily.
all type of connectivity (IR is kinda obsolete in phones so doesn't count) v3.0 blutooth and especially USB On-the-go support is kool.
Camera: simply the best and good part is its with 1/1.83'' sensor and xenon which i love :>
FM transmitter+ HDMI + Anodized aluminum casing and guys much more make this phone a great deal.
ITS VALUE FOR MONEY.
Ahmm btw i wud wait for a better processor+rom+ram
:D

chiensal, 24 Sep 2010Sorry nokia I could not wait any longer I went out today an... moreWell, they were sort of forced to announce the N8 after that idiot Eldar guy made that "review". Originally the N8 was planned for summer but cos Symbian^3 needed more work that didn't happen, however that was so early in the production that I don't really consider that as a delay. The first delay (if we dont count the original one) was this. Apart from that "summer" it has all the time been supposed to come end of september, which still holds true for early pre-orderers.
They didn't really delay it more than once, if you ask me and even that delay doesn't hold true for everyone, not to mention that day still hasn't even passed.
Either way, good luck with whatever phone you ended up buying.

Sorry nokia I could not wait any longer I went out today and bought a phone. It should have been the N8 but too many delays I could not wait any longer. I needed a phone since last month. bye. If this is how you do business in such a competitive market then good luck. HTC just announced two new phones which will be realesed in one month time. take note Nokia. you announce then realese you dont announce then delay then delay then delay then release.

Just recieved my email from Nokia about the N8 an they say i should recieve it a few weeks into October not September, but i hope it early October not the last week into October,as its been so annoying waiting to see an use the N8,we keep getting loads of videos showing off the N8,buts its the Publics views an comments you want to read, because all they are doing is making any mobile by video look o.k,but you then get the mobile an its not as good as they are showing like the N97 just shows you,Still no Reviews seen on the Internet about finished N8,but just seen a nice video on You Tube an the Lady didn"t seem to like the new Symbian3 software but the N8 looked really fast on some occasions

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2010can't we use offline nav with other phones! or it's payable... moreMost seem to require a connection of some kind, but even if you had an offline GPS satnav in it, the usage/software usually costs something.

Anonymous, 24 Sep 2010n8 is going to b the greatest failure ever.so much of price... moreYes, but the other smartphones aint much/any cheaper not to mention they are usually made out of plastic too.
You forgot at least free offline navigation, too.
And well, nothing is stopping you from buying the other smartphones, currently though demand is grossly exceeding supply on the N8 and you can see that from GSMArena too, has any phone ever had over 5,2 mil hits before it's release? iPhone 4 still does not have that..

Not bad, in Indonesia its pre-order price is USD 553. But available in dark grey only, oh but there's one nice addition though, Nokia BH-905 bluetooth stereo included :)
I wonder if the retail price will be cheaper? Any idea guys?

[deleted post]You know, desird hd made me think twice too. Maybe it won't hurt to try something new. What i'm worrying is, what if i can't do the things i'm able to do with symbian? Like free internet through ip servers. And htc is hard to find in the philippines. Pretty expensive too.

[deleted post]Good luck with your new device ! Do share with us how it treats you ! :) And don't be so sure about selling it for meego. Well you might, but from personal experience, I can tell you that Android can grow on you. :) Tc.
