[deleted post]What makes it a bad phone? The CPU is lower than others but compensated by a dedicated GPU which others dont have, it's cheaper than the iPhone, for example. Have you tried the Symbian^3 to know it's bad? It's features still beat Android and iOS quite easily, it looks the same but it's a new OS comapred to 5th edition. Design is a matter of preference, I love the looks of N8 and like it alot more than iPhone or any Samsung/HTC. The display is said to be amongst the best on the market and considering Super AMOLED is not an option for non-Samsungs, not much else to hope for. Can't comment on sound but whats wrong with video?
It's simply maybe the best balanced phone out there. It has the camera niche, but it's very balanced in every other aspect too

phones fan, 23 Sep 2010when the iphone was announced in the USA a lot of people th... moreTotally agreed with you and if you've read my earlier comments for the last month, I've always sad it's a marvellous OS and phone if you have absolutely no use for the myriad of features other phones have.
But personally, the iPhones hold like zero value for me cos I don't really appreciate UI and smoothness in a cellphone. Well I do, but it's so low in the priority that it doesnt make or break the deal for me.

wow i dont know if anyone has notice this...but is the trend changed??? who really carries a huge square phone in their pocket anyway....thats pretty dumb. i thought we loved small and compact phone thats why it was call..MOBILE phone...

Wheez, 23 Sep 2010Just a shame that iOS has nothing on Symbian when it comes ... morewhen the iphone was announced in the USA a lot of people there acted as if they never had used a smart phone before,the first time seeing a camera in a mobile phone, gps in a phone, apps & games in a phone......etc
while in the other world these features were introduced by nokia since long time .
but this is what is called a successful marketing and brain washing done by apple and helped by the media and the support of the national products by the Americans,don't forget to mention the failure of nokia and other companies to introduce a real competitor to the iphone till recently .
although iOS has many restrictions but no one can deny that iOS is a very nice OS that is faster and more eye candy than the symbain.

The difference between a resistive screen and a capacitive screen is like frigging huge. I'll certainly never buy a device with a resistive touch screen after trying the N8s capacitive.

It's true Bro, I read it in www.nokia.co.id. If We have Citibank CC We can preorder it from 20 sept till 10 Okt 2010 in 4.950.000 IDR plus bluetooth headset and HDMI set. Wait for one or two more month and the price could be decrease...

It's E7 that will compete with bb 9800 as the flagship phones of both brands, as people in our country are still in love with hardware qwerty keyboard.

I have checked with Dubai Mall People...they said that all the pre orders will be delivered in the end of October....i dont know why this nokia is doing so late....lauched in Nokia world and now so late.....But for me i will wait for N8....

Just recieved a email from the Carphone Warehouses sites an they have told me a pre-order is available an should be made available to get the N8 on the 22nd October,so its way to late for a mobile we first saw in April ,Whats happened with the N8 makes me think that Nokia are not up to date an glad the big Shake-Up is Happening or they will never advance in the mobile market but move Backwards

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2010i've had nokia, iOS and android, i prefer anroid atm als... morewe all no that a cheater is alot faster than a human but who can run for longer. just wot i fort.i understand wot your saying but its proven to work. and wen something new comes to the market obviously it will effect nokia and companys sales. but i dont think they are behind the times there phones are proving to work and touchscreen nokias wich i have ownd are fast on the touch and you dont need a big 1ghz to make a good smart phone every one on here nos part of wot your saying but nearly 6 million people are interested and its not come out yet. and come on all the i phone has is apps n thats it. and it has alot of draw backs. and look how many i phones have bin returned. we all no the specs and we all think its the best out thats y we want it
