nice specs, just the ram is too little 256ram. should make it around 512ram or more like the htc desire will be great. will help to smooth out the web browsing as well.

No... moreNokia is known for it's LACK of stability in it's OS, n95, n96, n85, n86 n97 +mini all needed several firmware updates just so they would work As intended, and this was after they were put into the hands of customers. Just because they have been leading the mobile market in the past does not mean they will do so in the future. Sadly it's all about apps these days and developers make apps that will make them money, and symbian is not the place for them, which is why android has grown so much so fast. Apple will have amvery hard fight if they don't lift restrictions from there phones, as for nokia, I don't see symbian 3 doing for them, it came out way too late and the software specs are not worth the price tag. We'll see what symbian 4 and meego bring, but if they don't get developers on there side soon they will lose the top spot within 2-3 years to android, provided they keep there momentum.

This phone is 2007.
Come on this thing should have came out before the N95 as the spec is lower and they are now 9 months late in releasing.

The first ever smartphone (wrt todays' standards) was the Nokia 9210 in 1996.... Over 41% of the market today is being dominated by the Symbian OS. Apple introduced the 1st Iphone in 2007 and is still in a state of infancy with plenty of bugs leaving the customers scratching their head. Symbian OS has been a known for its stability and is beyond caomparison with any other OS. Android OS has been picking up lately due to its high extendibility. But as per market studies Nokia will be still be leading with 40% of the smartphone market by 2014 leaving Android to be the 2nd ... So in short Nokia shouldnt be compared to any other brands and vice versa...

The first shipments of the Nokia N8 are expected to start by the end of September, and consumers in the U.S. are expected to receive their devices thereafter. As with every global launch, when the devices reach customers will vary market to market.
So how long is "thereafter"? Thanks everyone. :O)
