Wheez, 17 Sep 2010It shouldn't be about the lack of capability to run those g... moreI think its something to do with that very old ARM11 model processor.
I watched hero of sparta game performance with N8, iphone 3g, 3gs and 4 and noticed iphone 3g performance is very similar than N8, its not smooth at all.
Then i watched those phones specs and learned that 3g is only iphone which uses that old ARM11 too.

Does any one know whether the keyboard is shown in both portrait and landscape modes? Some touchscreen telephones do not display the keyboard in portrait mode.

anonymous VIII, 17 Sep 2010One of the items included in the N* package is the battery.... moreIt's preinstalled for that exact reason. They arn't normal screws either (although they can be opened with a "normal" screwdriver of a certain size), but since they are special screws with no special screwdriver, it's certainly preinstalled.

One of the items included in the N* package is the battery. What I do not know is if it is already installed or the owner has to install it. If the owner has to install it, then there cannot be a loss of warranty for removing it. If it comes pre-installed, then I can see and issue if the owner removes it.

As long as the phone has a capability of doing a full power cut off from the power button (like in computers and laptops), it's fine. Most are complaining about the nonremovable battery cos they did that when the phone crashed. Earlier Nokias havnt had that full power cut off function cos of the removable battery.
Capacitive screens have their pros and cons. They are extremely sensitive in ideal conditions, thus very nice, but not usable with ie. gloves on or with normal stylus (the capacitive stylus at least for N8 has quite a big tip, so not as precise as a normal stylus, usually).
Pinch to zoom, well, it's a nice thing, having more features is never a bad thing. I probably wouldn't have minded as long as it would've been implemented some other way. Like the "volume" hardware buttons could be pretty nicely used for zooming in and out. I'm quite split around pinch to zoom myself, it's handy, but somehow I don't really like it. Maybe it's just me, but the gesture is somewhat "hard" or unnatural to do.

I'v been wondering that same thing for one year now, always nokia fans has been pick on iphone users about that. And now when nokia do the same it's ok and they are saying exactly the same things what iphone users have sayed to nokiafans.
surprise, surprise! Nokiafans are such a "Coat-turners"
its the same with pinch zoom and capasitive screen, first its useless and no-one needs it, and now finally nokia has it too and it is very nice and good thing.

I can't say for certain, but I'd claim that they might not take advantage of the dedicated GPU (since any other device those games are ran on do not have one, so the support might not be there automatically)

Nokia does not confirm the N8 being late. Why would the deny it if those sites were right? Remember when the Eldar guy said 26th of August as release date (Nokia never said that), people thought it was for real, this has a same kind of source. Some random indian guy said it will be delayed. Nokia denies, so I don't believe it either.
Nokia philippines must be pulling numbers out of their ass then, as they have never stated those dates you are saying on anywhere else. Don't blame Nokia if your local retailers make shit up.
So far they havn't failed a single official release date they have given, mainly cos the last week of sept/1st august is the first and only official date given along with Q3 2010. Neither of those have been failed to fulfil yet.
I'm not sure what did that one guy mean with "full keyboard" in portraid mode, but the N8 surely has a good QWERTY in portraid mode.
The reason iPhone does not have real multitasking is cos it freezes most applications. Music player is among the few that actually continues to run on the background. Given, many things that you would multitask don't have to actively run in the background, but you might need some things really to run on the background and not just be frozen.
The lack of video light is shame, though, but it's understandable with those optics and everything that you can't just fit in everything there. It's still a world of tradeoffs.
