Symbian is the most popular and mature os and symbian^3 is an open source,u cant claim it as waste before using it ! If u dont know anything then better u stop posting here !

[deleted post]This phone is nt as fast as iphone or galaxy but it is fastest symbian phone! Cant u see 12mp,xenon,hdmi,gorilla glass,al casing,usb otg,tv receiver,dolby digital...u need to do some research b4 posting n claiming anythng! Why would any1 pay too much for iphn if it has only b8r screen,touch,application,ui ? Also some people dont want galaxy bcoz it lacks a simple flash and cheap build quality ! So overall N8 is very well balanced phone and also it wont cost too much so no wonder if many people will choose it over iphn n galaxy :p

Dont buy any nokia symbian OPERATING SYSTEM,it's a waste OS to buy now a days ANDROID market is going then why you buy this SYMBIAN os phone if it's price is higher than 18k then buy HTC DESIRE or LEGEND they are super amoled screens and comes with 2.1 ANDROID OS can upgrade to 2.2 also.

me prefer symbian^3 UI over android UI. symbian UI more user friendly and easy to use

Its 5.45am uk time and bbc news 24 has just done a mini report and Nokia need the c9 and n8 to succed to keep up the competition.Thats from a main news channel yet the c9 seems as this time still a rumour..?????????????????

This device could turn out to be one of the great devices of the year.
It also can turn out to be total lemon.
But the thing is, it has to be judged on its own merits. And that will be up to each individual user.
Comparing it to any other device is useless and meaningless

I have watched a million reviews on this phone and the performance seems superb. I think everyone's really hyped to get there hands on this phone especially me. I am going to wait for actual hands on video reviews of the N8 before I purchase one because I don't want another N97 situation happening to me!
We'll see what this phone is really about in 2 and a half weeks!

It's measured in real life.
I had a Samsung Vibrant. One of your celebrated Galaxy Phones. Great Specs on paper. Not so great performance in real life in my opinion. Buggy, laggy and totally overhyped.
I traded it back two weeks after I had it.
Don't TELL me what a device can do. PROVE what it can do.
It's all about the individual user experience and NOT about the technology that's written on a piece of paper.

I hate Samsung Devices. I've had them and didn't like them, so I'll NEVER spend my hard earmed cash on another Samsung. I don't care what the specs are.
It's just a matter of personal choice. I don't see why thats so hard to understand for anyone.
You like what you like. I like what I like. Everybody else likes what they like.
