check this. N8 has 1200 mah battery while HTC Desire has 1400 mah battery. But N8 has a longer hours of talk of 12 hrs and 30 mins for 2G compared to HTC desire's 6 and 40 mins for 2g! How pOOR!

dave, 07 Sep 2010Man, I don't say that I wont buy N8. I love S60 apps like c... moreI get your point. Just wait till it's released and see how it performs. That way you could finally make a proper comparison. I myself won't buy this phone till its proven to be snappy with that gpu onboard. Basing on the specsheet though, and taking the cpu stereotype out of your judgment, n8 'could' be one of the best.

well it wont be our lost. Cant you get it. yes ARM 11 680 mhz is old. BUT it is combined with the fair 256 mb ram which makes N900 a multitasking beast! It is combined with a powerful Broadcom GPU + HW graphic accelerator like the one in the ALMIGHTY N95 8 GB

I love S60 apps like call recorders, black-list on calls/sms apps..those are real apps, not the games/apps from apple and android; they don't have such apps.
I just hate the fact that N8 will be slower than competition and the fact that it uses old part (cpu, ram, screen).

I'm about to get myself one when i stumble on this page, read the specsheet and was amazed. I think hdmi out is cool, usb-otg is cool, 12mp camera is cool, broadcomm gpu is cool, not super amoled, but amoled is cool enough. Don't think that we don't recognize other phones for what it is worth. All of the specs you're about to steal from other pages and then post in here are already familiar to us. But we will still be loyal to n8. Because it has what we truly needs.

[deleted post]iphone in even not a smart phone in my opinion. Can you send a file via bluetooth? You get my point :)
Galaxy S, wave, desire, milestone, droid are better than N8, not to count the 12 mpx camera.
                    That's my opinion..that is..

Is the N8 simple to use as a phone? Because let's not forget that after all IT IS A PHONE. How easy is it for example to send a SMS without a keyboard? Is the menu as simple as the one used by the rest of the NOKIA phones?
