So i think some people are online,

To clear things, divx is not supported natively by early symbian devices. But there are third party applications available and so, i can play the format whenever i want on any of my previous nokia phones. I don't really understand the hype about it that it can even affect some people whether to buy a phone or not. That's just my opinion.

Symbian 3 however has native support for divx, i think?

[deleted post]I'm here to post my opinion.
Yes, N8 is the hottest phone from Nokia and the best phone from them if we compare it only with other nokia models.
That's my opinion; and the reality.

[deleted post]I really hope you are right. If N8 will manage dvx/xvid files like Wave does (wave is the best on that in the market), then I will buy N8 instead of other model.
We just have to wait N8 to hit the market.

This is from mobile review forum!
"anyways, i just saw the N8 at a Nokia store and was playing with it for a bit, while i was looking forward to the N8, i was left disappointed. Symbian touch is done guys, its extremely outdated, it's the same UI we been using for the past couple of years, i was also surprised that it was a bit slow, no where near as fast as my iPhone 4 and Galaxy S. can't comment on the camera cuz it wouldn't start, but then again i dont doubt nokia's cameras, they're always been some of the best out there. i did a bit of typing and i found the myself making tons of typos, even with predict on.

don't mean to slam the phone, but that was my short 5 minute impression, i hope things change by the time it hits stores.

for now i would say had this come out 2 years ago it would have had a better chance. i don't see what the N8 has that the competition doesn't.

better luck with "MeeGo" Nokia, symbian is dead!"

Bigger CPU: better, faster user interface.
Bigger resolution: U can navigate the web better. If you zoom a picture for ex., you will see the diference between screens resolution.
See the result, not only the specs!

The Nokia N8 is the phone that will be Very Important at Nokia,if the N8 fails like the N97,The President at Nokia will lose is Position an is Production Team down the Road as Well,so the N8 might the Phone that sorts things out at Nokia, thats Why? people can tell they have been Frightened of Releasing the N8 to Early,Nokia should have had the Symbian3 ready before they decide to Design an Produced the N8,but they always are to Slow on its Important mobiles,it Top Smartphones,an thats the Market they need to Get back on Track with the others,"E" series mobiles are looking more important at Nokia nowdays,an with the E7 being released soon, the mobile that looks like the N8 with the Querty keypad on it might deter people rushing in buying the N8,just hope things are sorted out Nokia as 2010 as been a very bad year for Nokia up till now

Bigger processors and exponentially short battery life packaged complete with screens they can't read in sunlight? Thats what regular users prefer? Well then maybe regular users shouldn't buy the n8.

[deleted post]All of that, Nokia used since 2008. That's what I've been trying to say. Nokia (and you) think like that: if is good now, let's use it forever!
I don't say Nokia is bad, because i like S60 apps. It's just OLD. They don't have anything new. All other (Sam, moto, htc, se) use new tehnology; they evolve. No, not Nokia.

Nobody knows(except for the manufacturers) on what Nokia N8 can do until the official launching, so you just shut up and see what Nokia N8 can do before you complain.

And with a hit like this, Im sure almost all developers will make a symbian^3 version of android's.

And stop comparing the n8 to the n97! It makes you look twice as stupid.
Its runs a different os, reads usb drives, has hdmi out and is made of freaking aluminium amongst a host of other upgrades.

The diference beetwen N8 and the old N97 is the camera and the screen (capacitive and bigger). THAT'S IT!
