I have 3 phone iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S, and BB 9700. I loved them all 3. all 3 by far much better than any Nokia Phone. Nokia N8 is out dated it should been 2 years ago out and not 2 years late.

Take a look around and find much better phones out there than N8.

Will the screen turns off when connecting it to tv/hd-tv, and while doing it, can we also connect with external devices via usb-OTG..?

oh and I forgot to mention that the memory or storage space is no longer an issue with this phone since it supports external devices such as external hard drives (up to 320GB) and USB flash memory sticks.

Jimmy, 16 Aug 2010SAMSUNG PHONES SUCK!!!! Tried them with an open mind but... moreI absolutely agree with you Jimmy. Samsung should stick with home appliances. I used their D980 Phone, the phone was a crap inspite of the high retail price tag.

bina, 17 Aug 2010hi engineer man, can you pl tell me if N8 is a dual sim ... moreDear bina,

You've asked from 'Engineer Man' whether Nokia N8 is dual sim phone or not... This is really an insulting question for him so I'm going to answer as best of my knowledge..

NOKIA HAS NEVER INTRODUCED A DUAL SIM PHONE IN ITS HISTORY...!
ONLY SAMSUNG, LG and Chinese cheap market phones are come up with Dual SIM...
So Obviously Nokia N8 will not be Dual sim what so ever...!

Did I make it very clear...?

If you have seen so many Nokia mobile which are dual sim capable bla bla... Then all I can say is this..

I can't do anything for those who have been cheated by cheap Chinese Nokia counterfeits... They look a like Nokias... and so many people get caught by them as Nokias... But in performance and all, we can easily identify those are not from Nokia...

Nokia N8 hasn't been released yet.. But I'm sure, Chinese counterfeits for Nokia N8 (Dual SIM of course) have already been released...

If you really wanna go for Nokia N8 dual SIM then buy one of them... You get following advantages..

                    * Having Nokia N8 even before the release date...!
                    * Having Dual SIM Nokia N8....!
                    * Having Nokia N8 for a Hilarious & ridiculously low price...!

Very funny...! (Sorry if I hurt you... But some people don't understand until they're told just the way they are supposed to be told...)

                                [deleted post]Dear friends,

I have seen lots of Nokia mobiles used by people for years... With hundreds hours of life timers.. (My 5530 - 350 hours, My sister 5800 - 250 hours, My mother 5220 - 820 hours, My brother 2600 classic - 400 hours etc..) Those are known nos... (Hence facts to me..)

But I have not heard the same thing said about Samsung.. Can you tell me why...?

(This simple question is for Samsung fan boys who're howling here in Nokia N8 page...!)

The main problem is Nokia is in a big dilemma !!
all of you are bothered about the hardware specs
hardware is not the one that makes a mobile phone useful ... it is the platform, battery life and the user interface more than these there is one more thing which is least considered that is future of the platform
in my opinion Symbian won't stand a chance in future ! due to the raising Android platform ... I don't think Nokia implements Android ... the only option for them is MeeGo which is in between development and production ...... Platform and Future scope are the thinks which makes a smartphone stand out of the crowd ! hardware specs will vary ....

I've been using nokia for years (currently i'm using 5800 express) and never seize to amaze me. they are always able to start new trends in technology BUT, there's always a limit which I can bear anyway. the best they have done so far is the offline GPS,which I was able to prove it when I was lost in singapore and I dont have network connection. I'm looking forward in getting the N8. they only thing that makes me worder is the price. sure Iphone 4 is still in the midst of its so publicised "success" and I think once N8 is released, iphone 4's days are over.
