Nokia had initially placed the N8 pricing between INR 22k to 24k and I have been waiting for the launch since three months. Last week I read an article that Nokia is now pricing it at INR 35k+ which was shocking and hence I decided to settle for something cheaper. I went to the Nokia priority centre in Bangalore and almost bought N97 Mini when the sales guy told me that they are expecting the N8 in a couple of weeks and the price is some where between INR 25k to 27k which was okay with me and decided to wait further. Let’s see if Nokia sticks to what they quoted earlier, else the N900 and N97 Mini is always there for the budgetary reasons.

Wow, 12mp camera, hdmi, aluminum case and the new USB on the go. It really looks like a japanese feature phone and a smartphone combined. Now if you'll just add digital tv receiver, unlocking by face recognition(that's cool!), a barcode reader through a built-in scanner, and waterproof/shockproof body, or a 14mp camera, even though i'm not sure if i'm going to need that much camera resolution, on the rumored new symbian 4 device, then it will be the best phone ever! Oh yeah, i'm asking too much but WTF! Nokia's hitting on the hardware and software OS(promising symbian ^3 wtf!) at the same time! That's true innovation! Or you can make a clam shell/flip phone/touchscreen next time... That's what i've been waiting for since forever... I've seen several, but they're only available in japan... -sigh-
oh yeah n8 will rock! Haters go away, it's not even released yet but you just seem to be as excited and curious as i am. We're all sharing the same feelings here. Lolz. Though haters deny it by posting baseless comparison with their unit. Srsly, you guys sounds threatened by the n8's hardware features, you don't even metion it. I just don't know why but you look like it. Keep bragging about processor, ui, etc. Yes apple, samsung and bb look good, and perform fast, but i'm looking for something that even the most amazing software application and impressive UI can't do. I THINK i will find it on N8. And at reasonable price for that matter.

...But then again it also says it has a VIDEO LIGHT in the spec on the Nokia Website and we know this is not true

WTF! is this supposed to be a phone or what? Dude I'm sure its gonna come out with a lots of bugs in it. :)
So my advise, do not be the first to buy it :)

Its touch screen is faster than n900, more sensitive than nokia touch screen ever...

Hey people im from south africa and at a cellphone company mtn they said they can order a N8 for me for a price of R279 p/m dats about $35 p/m and about ?25 p/m. So can any of you tell me if dats gona be the price for the phone or wil it be more expensive? And if i mst take that package. Plz rply. Im desprate
