When it comes to smart phones Apple's Iphone and Samsung's latest Galaxsi S are the two good smart phones in the market today. Nokia left far behind in Smart phone technology. Their sales and revenues are dipped. They still depending on Symbian OS. Poor Nokia.

Nokia is incorporating next gen. OS called MeeGo. A new platform developed by Novell for Nokia and Intel. Powered by Linux from Novell. Surely it is going to be a serious threat for Anroid and Apples I phone.
All Nokia future SMART mobiles are powered by MeeGo.
Kindly wait for it.

HTC and Apple should switch to Symbian 3 an... moreWin vista is better than Win 98 and Win Vista requires higher RAM and a processor, as it is advanced, more efficient and productive. We now require better CPU'S OR GPU'S to support the advanced OS and gaming platforms in the computing and mobile computing industries. Similarly Samsung and HTC require better processors to support their much more graphically advanced OS.

why some are promoting samsung wave here in n8 forum..samsung wave is a good phone but its BADA OS and even samsung itself not releasing further models in BADA os..so stop promoting wave ..people have their own choice including features..its just not only about super AMOLEd screen..and its only 3.3inch screen..so stop wasting time to tell N8 is ugly and buggy before even released..

:) I had little chat with Nokia provider here in Jordan, He confirmed me that Nokia Promised that the device will be available between the End of August and 14 of September :P

i agree, the N8 is priced as a high end, when in fact its a mid range...
we all used to forgive lots of shortcoming in the N8, due to the low price range, but this kinda changes that..
at any rate, for me its not worth buying a symbian atm, i used to love the OS and still do, especially functionality
but, i will have to wait atleast a year till developers starts using QT and produce some real apps, and if it failed, then maybe meego? same issue
as for the coming few months, i think android will do, change is alwayz good, my heart will be at symbian/nokia/meego, but i need something fun to play with atm..
waiting for a gsm summsung epic, so far its the only mobile worth it i guess.

In my view HTC is too good a co with many best seller mobiles to its credit. Nokia had become too lazy and hence left far behind. They even sacked their ceo. Nokia is pricing N8 high to the levels of galaxy s, iphones etc so that people may not think it is a 'cheap' phone. just think people. You wont buy a costly mobile to get 12 mpixel cam or to get a port so that we can connect usb drive. General Users are satisfied with 5 mpix cam. general user is satisfied by micro sd card. otg is another gimmick. I see another failure in N8.

It's clear Nokia N8 is another flop like N97, N97 Mini and X6. 12 mp camera is a gimmick. Where is more RAM, Processor Speed, Battery Capacity and Screen Resolution? Please Nokia go and learn form Samsung, HTC and Acer how to make a high end phone, dont try to push mid range phone with some gimmicks as a high end phone with premium price. Go back in your old beautiful days and make 3100, 6610, 6300 and 6270 etc. In my opinion now Samsung and HTC are the best. I feel very sorry and it is a sad moment also for me as I disconnect from Nokia after long 6 years. Any way, now I want to switch to Samsung Wave S8500 to wash out my old dis-satisfactions.
