I have an idea! HTC and Apple should switch to Symbian 3 and later update to Symbian 4. They can save money on those 1.5 ghz cpus that they need to run

mudhi, 10 Aug 2010While I dont agree with the rest of your post, you have mad... moreHave you not read any of the prototype hands-on reviews of the N8?

You will not need to remove the battery, nor let it completely run out in order to reset the N8 in the unlikely event that it freezes. But...in the rare case that it might freeze, all you do is simply hold the power key for 8 seconds to reset the N8.

S^3 developers have stated that this will not be a problem with the N8, but I guess we'll see.

TC, 09 Aug 2010Symbian is a very buggy OS, "if it is really an OS&quo... moreWhile I dont agree with the rest of your post, you have made one extremely good point; the problem of restarting your phone after it crashes. I have been using the 5800 since it came out, and while it doesnt happen too often (and is happening less and less as new firmware updates come out), my 5800 does crash/freeze every couple of weeks. The only way to fix this on those occasions is to remove the battery. The fact that the N8 doesnt have a removable battery, and how this relates to the phone crashing is something I never considered before, and definitely makes me think twice about buying this phone. If the N8 does crash/freeze, the only thing you would be able to do is wait for your battery to run out, which is unacceptable(how phone calls and messages would be missed in that time?).

this n8 forum is so live that n8 haters spend most of their time tryin to win hearts of n8 lovers, enjoy their funny arguements as they don't(will never) have a live interestin forum like n8's,it's not released yet but i guess all will buy this n8 to prove their point.Nokia knows what we want/need and they're the best phone makers.my dream phone is their morph concept phone but now will be satisfied with n8 till morph comes to the market.

MobileFun going to sell the N8 on the 26th August but at £420 i think is price is way over the top because you have to pay tax on this buy,but will wait till the price is a little lower,Nokia come on Finally announce the release date as your N8 will be out dated,Nokia said we would get the Meego phone but i bets not while 2011,as Nokia are really slowing down producing Top Quality handsets an more faster releasing budgets handsets, they better Change there strategy or people will start buying other mobiles instead of waiting ages for Nokia to release a top end mobile

Wireless routers use "MIMO" tehnology (Multiple Input Multiple Output). Multiple transmtters, receivers. They usually handle home ntworking between wired wireless file sharing network over 2.4Ghz. The router usually uses the 5Ghz for media streaming for broadcast transmissions that need bandwith in the realms of 48Mbps for 1080P HD.

5800 was the first smartphone for Nokia to bring the resisitive touchscreen & the S60 UI. Since then Nokia have had many touchscreen smartphones based upon the 5800 which have improved the resistive touchscreen & S60 UI. Then Nokia tried their first capacitive touchscreen on the X6 phones making S60 UI compatible with both types of display technologies.

Now we have the N8 with an improved capacitive touchscreen imrproved UI further. The capacitive will be the best yet, the touch UI the best yet, the glorious AMOLED display the best yet! If they were good in the previous phones, expect better, fast enouh CPU, enough RAM, Internal memory, Expndable transflash.

The features I am most looking forward to are unified inbox threaded messaging, magnetometre for compass, AMOLED display, the brilliant GPU, full GPS features with extras, A-GPS assited by WIFI inside your home. Animated themes. Wifi N, Transfer videos over Bluetooth V3.0. Prtty goo loudspeaker, Excellent camera, 720P video, Fm radio, transmitter. Flash lite 4.0.
