I have a Nokia X6 and the Nokia N900. N900 for all we know is a powerful mobile computer. Right? It runs on Maemo 5 and the complement of ARM A8 600 mhz and a powerful GPU and good 256 mb RAM. I use N900 mainly for texting, web browsing, using FM Transmitter and I foung the truly best multitasking is in n900. While I use my Nokia X6 in music playing and photography.
Nokia n8 is the most popular phone right now. It already reached 3.64 million hits already in just 3months announced! Why these alarming 77712 votes bother N8 if N8 is very outdated and laggy.
I know no one have tried latest N8 (to be shipped) hands-on. We have seen a lot of videos of N8. It looks like to work fast and responsive. N8 has the OS of Symbian 3. Nokia promised to deliver the best user experience that we should have as customers. I know Nokia will not fail us.
N8 main button/key is a cut out anodised aluminum. It's confirmed. N8 has a good sunlight legibility due to the AMOLED display under the gorilla glass. gorilla glass is the strongest glass in the world.
The issue about lack of video light. I dont think video light will make the video better. It just increase the contrast. At least if you compre this to i9000 galaxy S. Galaxy shoots black colored photos and record black colored videos in dark places. HAHA. how pathetic. Why not put a flash in a flagship? They are really dumb!
n8 has a beefy 16 GB and expandable up to 32 GB with the total possible overall memory of 48 GB onboard!
N8 has the USB on-th-go. I can connect my 1.5 TB hard disk in N8 using the USB otg. I can connect my X6 with N8 and even a USB itself.
N8 features a rich HDMI port. Great. I have a Sanyo Vizon LCD Tv with WXGA screen 32'' and HD Ready 720p, 1080p, 1080i and an HDMI port also. TOO USEFUL!
The great about N8 is it has the WEB TV which I can watch CNN, National Geographic etc. The access through the WEB Tv application is so fast using GPRS and EDGE which is Class 33 both (fastest and first in the mobile industry) and dont forget n8 is a fully 3G mobile. HSDPA(10.2 mbps) HSUPA(2mbps)
N8 has the WIFI bgn and the useful bluetooth 3.0 which makes it fabulous!
Nokia had even launched phones with UPNP and DLNA support both contained in a phone like in Nokia n79. But N8 only have Upnp technology. Dlna support is not a lost.
N8 has an additional goodie. THE xenon which makes it a portable digital camera. WOW. a digicam + a smartphone = ALL IN ONE N8!
You should not worry on 720p at 25fps. there's almost no difference in 720p at 25 fps and 720p at 30 fps. Damian Dining even told that CONTINUOUS AUTOFOCUS might be included in the first firmware update.
ARM 11 680 mhz. This is enough. It is equipped with the powerful BROADCOM GPU dedicated to shoot 12mp photos. Symbian is a very light OS.
HTC, Samsung, LG, and SE are afraid to put low processors in Android. You know why. Android will really crash with ARM 11 434 mhz and 128 mb ram. but how about Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230, 5233, x6, n97, n97mini, 5235, 5228
This phones work just fine. Even though it hangs and freezes sometime. Android is for people who only thinks of USER INTERFACE. Symbian is for people who needs efficient and reliable OS with really great functionalities.
N8 is equipped with Office Mobile. You can make and edit one and even view one! Nokia n8's browser is equipped with flash lite v.4.0 (compared to i9000 galaxy s' flash lite v.3.1) which has the adobe flash support v.10.1 with RSS feeds.
I have seen a video of video editor. Its really good. Photo editor is really good. more frames, icons and features were added.
N8 can play divx files and xvid playback.
N8 contacts tab has the sim contacs, ovi contacts and the NEW SOCIAL NETWORK FRIEND (CONTACTS) ex. yahoo, FB, windows live, etc.
You can install Skype in N8. Just search for it.
N8 will have a PDF document viewer.
Nokia started to have digital compas and others FOLLOW!

It's all going to be a joy to use. Better hardware, better OS manamgent for CPU & memory. This makes a huge difference for peoples user experience. Especially as the N8 will also have multiple homescreens & widgets while running more than 3 intensive tasks all at once. I consider just running 3-5 intensive tasks well much more reasonable & impressive than the 5800.
Considering the camera for still images & 720p videos, better flash suppot than 5800, 3D GPU, still pretty good loudspeakers, dolby digital, hdmi, Bt3.0, USB OTG, it's going to be a very nice phone, maps will just be there & free with no charge, it'll be a synch upgrade with OVI store acc, email setup, etc.. Symbian provides all you need with good file management. It does video playback well, it will do most things well & I think it will meet mosts peoples expectations.

galaxy s maybe have better processor but no innovation at all, and N8 is full innovation like usb otg etc. and low processor wont stop this bad boy to rock.

i have a wave and n900...im just enjoying waves display quality but im still browsing the net with my n900, it gives me a lot of surprises...
and im expecting the same too with n8, it will give me new experiences and surprises...
i love symbian because of its simplicity, i felt comfortable using this OS...
cant for s^3...i can download of third party softwares using symbian...i dorgot the application that i purchased for my e71 but its like an organizer that gives evrything i want for my tasks same as blackberries

Ya All better just get the apple Iphone 4, much faster, better and in long run more apps than this phone. For those of you who are nokia lovers, like i was once, you don't understand the phone till you try it!.

Why does everyone say that other OS like android and ios need better hardware to run? android runs fine on 600mhz or less processors. Same for ios on their old iphones.
In fact they run better on those slow processors than symbian every did on any of their devices including the n8. So where did this optimism come from that symbian runs better than android and ios?
Why do you nokia fans have to be so blind for the facts. Just look at the youtube videos of android, ios and symbian and compare them. You'll see a world of difference between symbian vs android/ios. Why dont you guys just look at those videos? Instead of being blind for the facts

Why people need to diss a device when they have a better one ? It seems they need to letdown the n8 to accept that they have bought a bada tada luga device which is in the development process...
Everyone knows that the bada oslacks many features and i really love the samsung wave because of the display but people u must really compare this both devices in generall.....

i hav seen so many android phones. none of them really make me happy cause they are for high class entertainers. it depends on people moods. i don't need them unlike professional symbian OSs

nice phone and i love it. no need of 1ghz if it is symbian but may be android and other hard OS need it.waiting for FX studio in N8.
