That youtube vid demonstrating the browser looks ok. Finally it looks like they got the browser right. Still a bit slow, but maybe because of the flash. At least it looks like you can actually use the browser now though.

leanne, 09 Aug 2010is nokia n8 will be launch in canada? and when?Given that all carriers are supporting 3G, it it will come faster than in the past when only Rogers had compatible network.
Wind will probably be one of the first operators since it is compatible with their 1700 MHz network and will occupy high end offering slot.

RONALD, 08 Aug 2010what's the benifit of edge class 33 where 3g is there3G *(very high mobile internet speeds) uses much more battery power in any phone when using the internet. But when using GSM or EDGE it uses little battery power as the speed is limited. So Class 33 (maybe) will use little battery and provide higher speed.

Why in the world do all these samsung fanboys wanna compare their wave to the N8 (a phone that hasn't hit the market yet). Think they feel so insecure and wants to proclaim that wave is the best (though the truth is far from different) so that they can feel good about themselves for having purchased a buggy phone that doesn't even do what basic smartphones are suppose to do.
The thing about majority of Nokia users is that they know what they have is the best and doesn't have to shout around to let themselves be heard. When you know that you have the power at your hands you don't show it to anyone. It's that simple. I have used a handfull of samsung phones myself and I can tell you nothing even comes close to what Nokia offers. The user experience is that much refined and the rest are pretty much self explanatory. This being the main reason why Nokia is still the preferred mobile of choice for majority of users especially in booming markets like India.

Crunk, 08 Aug 2010I really dont think a video light affects the video being t... moresorry but I don't agree with you ,my samsung wave video light is capable of giving excellent video quality when you are at 2m distance from the object and good video quality at 5m distance from the object in a "complete dark condition".
I've just tried that now ;)

This is the best video I've seen of the N8 working so far (with pre production software lets not forget) and its def god enough for me. Even if does have the checkboard affect in the web browser when zooming out -so what the checkboard goes after a mini second

i like this phon, from 10 year i using nokia and never have any problem. i am builder and many times i drop it, and all this phones work very well. i have i phone from 2 years and i dont like it , this is not my phone, and never use it, just looking to sell it. next month n8 will come to uk, i wait for it

i wud like2ask all mobile companies dat why not you annouces your products same time in india? all world using iphone 4 nd we are waiting....why? there is nothing perfect without "nirankar" (the god) to error the human so dnt worry bout the mobiles, just take it easy frnds, nirankar bless u all

The 'USB on the go' is a great feature to have, but really, who is going to plug in their 500gb+ harddrive into the N8 to watch movies in such a small, low-res screen? Well downloading music onto the N8 via USB is awesome! but thats just about it...nothing else. I just hope that the upcoming MeeGo devices will put Nokia back at TOP, because the N8 is certainly not going to do that. Symbian ^3 has 'almost' the same icons and transistional effects as S605th. Well yeah, it might be more "finger-friendly and easier to use" but we want MORE! If nokia plans to still be the best selling most used operating system then they have to totally revamp the OS, not by just add new features. Nokia fans have to accept the fact that this is wrong. If you are 'true' fans then you would agree and be concerned about Symbian. Its Sad to know that such an amazing company that "use" to produce the BEST, and I mean the very BEST, phones has to really on cheap phones and Meego to keep the brand afloat. God bless.

This is a question for the N8 lovers like myself...
Does anyone know (of the poeple who has used the fm transmitter before on other phones ie N86 or N85) whether you can use that feature to put your calls through your car's stereo speaker when driving? As I've heard you can use it for the voice guidance in the sat nav app.
Also can someone please advise when this will actually be released?.... The anticipation is taking over my life!!!

People the at&t version of samsungs galaxy s called the captivate is available at amazon on contract for $90!!! Haha its soo cheap, just search around the site, i suggest everyone should get it and use it until n8 releases and then throw it away and buy n8! N8 FTW!!

10years old ? Lol ! Joke! Samsung didnt born with 1ghz :D ! N8 edge class 33 whereas wave just 10 (nokia used to have it on 6600) :D

N8 doesn't have the most poewrful GPU in a smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S has it same with samsung wave, the only thing N8 has an edge is its cam department ONLY, the screen is just a 1 yr old amoled tech from samsung, the processor is a 10 yr old same package, the OS its quite subjective, maturity against UI experience, but i prefer UI experience over OS maturity, Symbian is quite powerful no doubt about it, but it wasnt translated effectively to common users, as common users do prefer fast, fluid and intuitive interface over complex capabilties of the phone.

so wave has PowerVR SGX540 gpu
