    samsung wave with highest and blowing n8 with 1614 ! and with my WAVE it went upto 1660

    Samsung wave is the clear winner in all acpects !! Only camera is good in n8 thats only for still pics. But video recording at 720p is same in both but in reviews i like Wave's HD recording more !! god bless outdated N8..

Symbian^1 has problems like some time touching the screen dont react, slow to process theme effect but when you switch off theme effects phone will become good fast and default web browser some time stops loading page..

            Niraj, 07 Aug 2010Agree many people dont uses extra features. But some time ... moreIt really depends on how fluid s^3 is. If its like the n97 or from what I have seen on youtube then I wouldn't buy the n8 because ios and android are really much better, faster and more fluid.

            Some features that I like on the n8 are ovi maps, aluminum casing, 12mp with flash (5mp is enough for me) and hdmi output. But if the OS is like on the n97 or if there aren't many apps then why should I buy it? Apps makes a phone really more phone and exciting to use and I don't really get that with symbian so far like I do with apple or android.

              Symbian is a best os ever ! True multitasking ! Can convert applications using qt ! N8 is the perfect phone ! ;)

                N8 is a very old news. Outdated processor, outdated RAM, outdated os. Only the camera for still picture is good. Nothing else. The video recording is poor. It can't even beat Wave for video recording.

Nexus one is developer's phone for Android and most of developers will utilize games according to it not Galaxy S. You are also wrong while saying Android utilizes games better. Android runs on a java virtual machine, so you can see most of android games are small on size and cant be comparable to iphone game.
                            And since you much care about processor speed, why dont dont you simply buy galaxy s. It is not possible to give every thing in a phone which cost 370 euro before tax. If you want more there will be Meego phone in future. Remind you meego is going to even more resource hungry than current Android.
                            Galaxy s has only few advantages over N8 which are display, fast processor and More ram and nothing else. While N8 has a quite long list of advantages such as best build quality (GS Has cheap build quality), gorilla glass display ( opposed to easily scratchable diplay of Galaxy S), hdmi with surround sound (no hdmi on GS), fast 3.5G, fast 2.5G, 16:9 screen, good loud speakers ( feeble on GS), USB OTG, FM transmitter, free gps navigation (do I need to tell how costly gps navigation for one year is? Plus he you are in roaming , charges will be so high that you can buy a new N8 for that price. And due to network, your map data may not download properly. While ovi maps has no such problems) etc etc. Oh do I mention camera capabily of N8 ?? Best 12mp camera on mobile ( not to mention even x6 takes better photo than Galaxy S), stereo sound recording on N8 ( opposed to poor sound recording on GS), Xenon flash ( oh gs dont even has a led flash)..
                            I really want to hear sensible reply from Samsung fans..

                              Most features are really gimmicks though. For example the usb otg. I had that feature on my mp3 player in 2005 too and in reality I never ever used it in my life. Its very inconvenient to carry a cable around with you at all times.

                              I am mostly interested in the aluminum design of the n8 rather than the features. I know I won't use 90% of them anyway. Things I do use are processor and screen all the time!

                              I rather have the core features to be good then I have a lot of extras that I never use in real life. If its not for its aluminum casing I wouldn't even be interested in this phone.

The galaxy S does... moreI guess that Nokia is not a step behind in this industry but they rather make an all rounded phone which everyone can use everyday and in every different situation. What the point of having a faster processor and super amoled screen when you cant take a good fun pics especially in a club or party with no flash. What about sharing your pics and video using HDMI and using a flash drive to save data on the fly. Its these things that make me like the N8. It may not be the best but it can sure connect my life around this phone. Its Fun and Serious at the same time.

                                  N8's camera has a protrusion on its ANODIZED ALUMINIUM CASING which makes it 12.9 mm. That's the dimensions includes the protrusion. That means the casing's thickness is actually less than 12.9 mm. Maybe 10 mm, hence it's easy to carry in your pocket just like the E72. Iphone 4 is 9.9 mm, No big difference compared to the N8.

                                      again N8 is winner. Yay...Benchmark is not from Nokia but unbiased writers. Thank you. I dont know n gage games support, we have to see. The final symbian 3 OS will be much better than current. More speedy

And remember symbian is not heavy as android OS for 680 with GPU accelerater . hey. everything is not only Wow ui, but what we can do with it, yh? maybe wifi is slower or higher but speed depends on your service provider. yh?. and N8 is not laggy. first prototype seen in russia was laggy but see today, there is no laggy in that and final will be much more good. cheers.XX.
