Okay, here is what i found searching more info on net. Cant say if they r genuine or not. Symbian^3 has backward compatibility; means apps from previous version ie s60v5 will work on it! Next, only nseries sets will ditch symbian not the x or c series; means n8 is not at the dead end. Next, both meego n symbian^3 r based on "qt"(??), so bifurcation of platform in nokia won't prove to b a hurdle for apps developers; plus, with symbian^4 due, it means,again, n8 will not be left alone, stranded. And lastly, few of the game developers have reportedly extended their support to n8(g.loft n ea for eg); means games will come, (but still keeping my fingers crossed). Hope those info r not hoax coz i m surely getting n8 by the year end.

[deleted post]Hi o.k the camera might be o.k on the N86,but the screens to small an speakers way to low,the n8 really outclasses your mobile,with a 12 mega-pixel camera with xenon flash an dolby speakers,an the screen size alot better for videos an images on the N8

For those people who r groaning about slow processor on n8. Google it. N8 is 180% faster than n97, and 30 odd % faster than google nexus.

Well, i m planning to buy this phone. But few serious doubts....firstly, jus read that after n8, all nseries will feature meego n not symbian. That means, will i b left stranded at the dead end of symbianOS? And risk having paucity of apps n games?
.
Though i dont care about games,aft my n95 let me down seriously, but if n8 turns out to be lone model flashing symbian^3 ,then it will b a real misery.
Found demo of 3d asphalt5, nfs shift, but after ngage2 fiasco, its real difficult to trust symbian.

You guys are still believing this is good phone compare it with other phones in market.they are plenty of 1 ghz phones but Nokia stil sticking with low end processor for high end phones.Nokia is finished.many symbian forum owners are closing their sites cursing the company.Nokia n8 sure will flop just like Nokia x6 which was overhyped and failed just play asphalt 4 game in that mobile it is worse than java game of low end mobiles.nokia marketed that phone at high end but it is terribly flopped .don't think of n8 and waste your time go and see features of Samsung wave.it is whole better than this phone.advice from proud owner of Samsung wave.

it's not so good comparable to n86 except 12mp..the best product of nokia is N86_8mp !! it has all feature,smart looking..u will get complete satisfaction with using N86 ...

I want ask about the battery, how long it take to recharged again? i have seen the specification of the battery (1200 mAh)!! (please, excuse my mistakes in language :)

Good Phone. Unmatched by any possible standards Apple could only dream over. Nokia N8 vs Iphone 4 Boxing Ring match 1. Pounce, Match 1, N8 wins, un disputed King of Smartphone arena muscle. Who will bet this phone sell more than Iphone 4. Nokia undisputed King of Smartphones. All the way. Iphone didn't have the guts to be a phone, it died as soon as you aske it to do the no one phone task. Make a call.

How many regular smart phone users can truthfully tell an AMOLED screen from S-AMOLED? Having said that, I see no sense in comparing any Samsung phone with the N8. Compare Wave or Galaxy side by side with the N8 here on GSM Arena and you'd be quiet for good
