To be able to download apps from Nokia store you need to be signed into your Nokia account. If you're not signed in you can't download from the store.

I am using N8 from more than a year & I am satisfied with its performance. For me... the best ever handset.

I have been using an N79 since 2009, so I'm sure the N8 will feel like quite a step up. I'm especially excited about having a better camera with me nearly always!

hi. I am not able to download any of the apps from nokia ovi store. The "download " button is greyed out and hence it is not possible to download. Can you guys help me how to overcome this ? I m getting this n8 this weekend. Would be great to solve this before i start using this mobile

Hello to all N8 owners, just added N8 to my collection of Nokia phones, great camara,
and now updated to Belle refresh[ had Symbian ^3 installed,] it is a different phone
no problems so far, and prefer it to lumia 800, had to try it, looks like 808 is last great
Nokia phone, if price drops might buy one, no regrets buying N8 Brilliant.

why did my N8 stop recognising swype input...i really miss that as the default qwerty key pad on the n8 is a real pain to type on..any remedy?

Dear All,
I would say tat i am totally in love with N8.
I have been using N8 from past one year...Just lyk to share my experience with N8. Pros and Cons i feel over the time..
Pros :
-Camera undoubtly best after Nokia 808 in camparison to any phone in the market.
-Got Xenon flash ...no other camera phones have tat..I totally forgot to use my Digicam from past one year. :) :)
-Music ...I can say one awesome experience...Doubly digital sound with Nokia Provided
WH-701 headsets totally worth it..I can change the songs while driving my bike also by the controls provided by the WH-701 headsets.
-I can connect my pen drive into the phone isnt it awesome :)
-I connect my phone to my LED tv via HDMI cod to watch movies and see photos clicked by N8.
-And the best part u will get HDMI and USB OTG cod in the stock box of N8 wonderful :)
-i must say... Battery backup is great..
-Surely nokia lags behind Android in terms of Applications but it does the job.
-Supports 3G video calling and also video call by using Fring
And dont forget it supports FM transmitter ...I play songs in my Car via FM transmitter :)
-Supports memory upto 48 GB :)
-Best Navigation supoorts offline maps :)
Cons :
-Hangs sometimes u need to restart :( but can be considered
-Stock belle refresh lags so better Flash ur N8 with Xeon CFW 3.4.7 and it will amaze u :)
-Stock Browser isnt tat great...
I would recommed some of the must have apps for N8 :
-Folder Play : fantastic music play ease n simple
-App Stop : directly stop unwanted apps
-UC web browser and also Opera mini
-Microsoft office Apps
-Nimbuzz
-Skype for Audio Calling only Doest support video call :( tats ok for me
-Fring Does support Video calling :)
-whatspp
-dunlock app for unlocking like Android.
-Flash ur N8 with Xeon CFW 3.4.7 and it will amaze u :)
-Access Apps
I wanted to continue using my N8... :) :)
I am not a android hater or symbiam fanboy...just wanted to share my experience with this great device produced by Nokia :)

but i never liked custom fw cause there are to many changes, to many mods, to many things that will not let your device being stable enough. It can be stable... but there, somewhere, will be an error caused by the custom fw. And i just cannot live with that. So this are the cons:). For me, at least. But if you can live with this, and you think it is good. Go for it, there are allot saying that custom firmwares are "mind-blowing"... But look for the one with a high rating.

I've just completed 2 years with my N8.I never faced a hazard.N8 has a very good screen and the set is fast enough to do net surf and official works smoothly.The size is so comfortable to do the job in one hand or carry it in your pocket.Last but not the least,the camera is so good that I've forgotten my Digicam which was 16mp.
