I really appreciate for the reply (to be honest... moreHey, yes i remember. it is nice that you have media markt there to. Give it a try, maybe you can play with it a bit. But be careful, it is highly addicted:)). You may fell in love to it very quick, the build quality is incredible. When you will have it in your hands you will feel like is even more solid then the N8. But i guess is only a feel:). Also, about what i've said. Remember i've always mentioned that this are my opinions (conspiracy's). So it doesn't have to be all true:). For example Wikipedia states that there was Android.inc (a brand, i suppose) founded in 2003, this guys were developing (in secret, :-?) a mobile software with a Linux kernel (interesting). Anyway, the guy with this idea went bankrupt so, a very good friend of his Steve Perlman (interesting again, a apple guy) brought him some money, i don't know for what... with 10.000$ (this is what Wikipedia states) you cannot keep a business running. Now, in 2005, Google bought Android Inc. (i wonder WHY). A bankrupt guy with a "small" idea bought by Google it self!(here comes my conspiracy of Google's interest in Maemo). Anyway, there are allot of conspiracies that come in my head:)). So nobody can know the reality. But i like my ideas of the things that happened:)). You can read more, if you like, about android here (at least about what wikipedia states):

Carol, 14 Dec 2012Hey, i have a theory regarding maemo and android. Anyway, l... more@ Carol
I really appreciate for the reply (to be honest it was more a seminar!!! than a simple reply). I really - really enjoyed "studying" a lot of things you've posted about OS. I liked also the example of cheating :) because I've done it at school in biology test i think, i took 17/20 and my friend I've copied from took 13/20 :) it was really funny :)
Also thank you for the previous reply in 808 forum if you remember, regarding the availability of the pure view, I'll visit this week media markt, its the only shop i've never had it in mind. Thanks again, we will be in touch.
(Btw, speaking of cheating no one exept gsm_arena has never mentioned the Nokia-apple court fight decision, i phone has stolen more than 20 from Nokia and apple finally had to admitted it.)

AnonD-89450, 16 Dec 2012Thanks for your nice information bro.........:) take care,....:)). Was i to a*s? Sorry, that's me:). But, almost everything can be solved with a firmware reinstall. And some times only with this you can bring your phone back to normal. I usualy hardformat my, if i have a problem, and reinstall the firmware via phoenix. A more advanced tool, that i would recomand for all who know something about tech. If not, Nokia suite is better. You can search this forum, i gave some more detailed instructions on how to proper reinstall the firmware, some time ago. If you don't know exactly how to do it:)

I toled you what to do, i know that people don't like to format, but if it's a must it's a must. Or you format it, or you take it to Nokia care and they will do the same.
So format your phone mass memory, take out the memory card (if you have any) then format your phone hitting *#7370# confirm everything it asks for. Wait until everything is over. Now be shore that your phone has signal(look at the antenna sign) To be shore that is no network problem, you can take the sim card out and plug it back in. After all this is done, plug it in your pc and wait everything to install (nokia suite will install some plug-ins) After this, reinstall your firmware...

12xu, 14 Dec 2012Hi Carol,
i want to ask you something regarding OS. I'v... moreHey, i have a theory regarding maemo and android. Anyway, let's start with the first of the first. And that was Nokia 770 running maemo 2, back then was known as OS2005 to, which was a Linux based mobile system. 770 is just an touchscreen internet tablet. Indeed, the first maemo smartphone was n900, but let's not forget that it has 90% same OS as 800, 810 or 770 (i say 90% cause maemo 5 has some UI and some other changes), which are older then ios or android. Nokia had a good plan some time ago, to slowly switch to maemo, that was a very promising OS for the future. Of course, to hold on Symbian to, for some years. But they failed. Now, about Android. This is just my conspiracy about things that happened:) I can say, that Google saw an opportunity in Maemo some time ago, and started to create a system that took a bit from every system that was out there: a bit from Symbian, a bit from Maemo a bit more from blackberry but with a Linux based core. Yes, android is a Linux based system. And i don't think this is just a coincidence. After Nokia stupidity and trashy management, Android kicked the market with stolen ideas that Nokia should enter the market. But cause they were to dumb to do that, they got "swollen lip". So after years of market study and investing in new things Nokia got as* kicked BIG TIME by a bunch of newbies copycats and their mixed messy system. Just take a look at some maemo on internet and you will see mrs. droid there trying to get out and make some money. Is Android a full maemo copy? Nope. Let's say it is "inspired" from everything was out there at the time of manufacturing. Stole Google others ideas, investment and innovations? I say definitely! To develop a system is not a 1 year investment from a bunch of schoolboys. Nokia invested years and years in this system, and when was ready to hit the market they just hold it back and pushed Symbian with low specs. Google jumped out of the bush with a "Frankenstein" system and got lucky. You know, is like cheating at a test and get better scores then the one you copied from:)). But this is the way things work in this world.
Also, this is only what i think...
To answer your other question. The relation between Maemo, MeeGo and Android with linux is KIND of the same as is Windows PHone 8 with Windows 8, ok maybe not Quite:P, but you get the picture. They are all Linux based systems (more or less).
