[deleted post]Dont forget wave is not as anti scratch resistant like N8. N8 dont has paint but wave has, thats why if you scratch hardly paint will be gone and wave will look like piece of junk. While wave users will get bored with same ui and no support, Nokia will give us full support and the ui will be continuously became better and more better. Dont forget N8 also supports themes while wave only one or two.

I love this phone and plan to get one when its released, my only issue with this phone is the processor. Nokia should really try to up the speed of the processor and RAM on this phone before it is released

this phone is the best on spcification, the os is open source,less power hungry,usb otg you can plug external hard drive,hdmi with dobby surrond ,free gps even offline and offcoverage the list goes on,not to talk of the camera,hd capability at that price plus nokia timetested durability--great phone

I am also an Indian .. and it is really tough to sell anything but Nokia in India.. It is the most trusted brand here!! I guess Nokia should have 80% market share in our country..I too used several Nokia handsets, but lost my hope on the brand after trying N85 and N97 :(
I have had my share with SE as well. They were at build quality, but got bored easily with both the SE handsets I have used.
Then I tried Samsung (star) and was really surprised!! The change was fresh, and was an worthy experiment. Nonetheless, it has its own flaws, but tolerable.
But N8 really attracted me back to Nokia. Keeping a close watch on Wave & N8. If S^3 proved to be really good will go for N8. Else will get a Sammy's Bada (wave) and will wait for a MeeGo device from Nokia.
Really difficult to stay away from 'brand Nokia' however tempting Sammy handets are. I am an Indian of course :)

Everytime you dont takes digicams in your pocket. You are a previous i fan so you are not looking for camera phone, but truth is there was lots of Samsung/SE fans who were used to b@sh Nokia before announcement of N8, because Nokia have not release 12 mp camera phone.

I am not a HARDCORE fan of any mobile manufacturer, be it Nokia, Samsung, Apple,.. i just look at the price:performance factor and decide which is best. Nokia N8 truly surprised me because of so many features at such a price! comparing to samsung s8500 or anything, i feel that Nokia will outsmart. When looking at a phone, don't go for 1-2 features (as someone spoke about the super AMOLED stuff), look at the mobile thoroughly before deciding because whoever be the manufacturer, its YOUR MONEY that you will spend... :) so choose carefully.

The speed of any phone also based on how efficient the underlying firmware is. For instance, take Nokia 5230 and N97 mini. Both have resistive screen, 128 mb RAM, 434 mhz processor. So in paper both should perform equal speed. But in reality you will find that N97 mini is almost twice faster than 5230..
And you are crying that prototype device resembe 85% of final release. No brother, this things dont occur always. For example read the both preview of N8 by Eldar Murtazin. In first you will found Amoled used in N8 is same as nexus one and N8 is slower than vivaz ( 720 mhz Arm a8 cpu + powervr gpu) but in second preview there are lots of difference such as Amoled in N8 is better than Nexus one and N8 is fastest symbian device.. The second preview was also based on prototype. So clearly in final release we can expect N8 to perform even fast. And Damian Dinning also twitted ( http://twitter.com/phonedaz ) that on final release Nokia will boost the display even more.

I had said 'most of' nokia phones not all. And Yes, I have tried two Samsung phones (feature phones) in past and I know that you cant all anyone with 1 signal bar.
