Annie, 18 Jun 2010N8 is not mid-range, but high end for a lower price. the ip... more@£320.00 the phone is cheaper than the year old N97 which retails at £399 and that's after a massive price reduction and the later ain't exactly a phone one could be proud of.
Mid range spec apart from the camera but a camera alone does not sale a phone
Whether the Iphone is over priced we'd have to ask the people who buy it, they're either insane or simply appreciate and understand how much better the phone is compared to what is available on the market.
Anyway N8 and Symbian^3 seems to be having similar problems as the N97 if they release it is " which I think they will coz the problems are still present in current phones after all the updates", then they are simply doomed watch this video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz3utELHCL4 at 40 secs in "Memory Full Error" and at 6.31 "System error message" Nokia gonna need all the luck to compete.

N8 is mid range hen... moreN8 is not mid-range, but high end for a lower price. the iphone is very overpriced device, and there's not a lot of functions which are high-end on it. all it has in favor for itself is the touchscreen and the fashion statement. it ain't even a smartphone, just a phone which has it's 15 minutes of fame right now because of all the useless apps that are available.
the apps on symbian are far more functional (speaking of s60 apps, since S^3 is not yet available) office editors etc.
I still don't see why an iphone should be worth the price they ask. it's not the memory, 16Gb of microsd costs about 30€. so you'll pay twice the money for design and brand name.
I think nokia is just asking a reasonable price for a full-feature high-end phone, not just a higher price for brandname

Gotta wonder though the damn thing is sold out every where before it's even been released so that price must be just the right price.
Nokia have stated that their high end devises will run on Symbian ^4. So if they get it right this time next year we will all be buzzing for nokia's flagship phones.

If u really wanted to, u can always use your browser to browse to the radio site and listen to it by streaming. Isn't it the same?
As for all those other players, try google it. I'm sure u can get the same thing if not better for Symbian.
What is "Iphone class games" anyway?
Didn't u see some of Nokia N8 promo videos?
They certainly have lots of games waiting for u.
Is the matter of your own preferences.
Hardware wise, can Iphone make video call to other brands' phone? NO.
Can IPhone listen to radio without any data plan or internet connection? Cannot.
Can Iphone take great photos at low light conditions?
Sorry cannot.
But Nokia N8 can do all these.
