The phone design and controls look outdated and ugly. Even the display shown in pictures reminds me of 2004 Windows Mobile OS. Overall, looks like a bunch of nerds who have assembled a phone to boast a few features. Girls would never be impressed with a contraption like this.. they will mistake me to a lifeless nerd if I am spotted with one.
Android-based HTC/Moto or an iPhone 4 for me please. Thanks.

n8 is the best phone for only $500. ofcourse you'll get better phone with more money, but is it worth-it?

I was supposed to name it "Don't cry for me Argentina, the truth is I never left you, all through my wild days..." i just ran out of space, I love the hype here of dont cry "sumbody", I think he owns a samsung phone and just want to brag it all around. He just don't understand if this fon cost 1,000 usd, nobody's gettin it but it cost at less than 500 usd, with all the goodies inside. yeah the UI is not as fluid as galaxy S and Iphone but is that all the point of comparison? he is not looking for a smartphone but an eyecandyphone. Please do understand the needs of other as they are earning for themselves to buy what they think is good, your thought is just pure useless if your not open for a technical discussion.

Dont cry Ali, 10 Jun 2010im not a gamer, i'm a technician.. Also, we are talking her... moreim also a computer technician.and if u a gud technician u will also know that u cant just compare proc Mhz to determine it speed.
u will also aware that a proc speed also depend on it architecture and instruction pipelining and etc.
so to know how fast a CPU work with an OS u can not judge using "the number" in front the Ghz label to confirm that it really slow.
lighter OS and it structures for working with the instruction on the CPU is a huge factor for the speed.
i dont think N8 will make the same mistake like my current CFW 5800xm.
if nokia brave enough to put USB OTG feature that capable to handle bigger storage or other phone storage that mean the CPU is really working fine and capable to do it.
using down clock can be a smart move to saving more battere juice and leave the CPU work with minimum heat that can eat ur battery juice fast.
and if u still worry bout N8 perfomance with 680Mhz CPU please just choose another phone with snapdragon power but i can tell u one thing,no other phone have so much feature completly built under one compact device like nokia N8.
u can read all the smartphone listed on gsmarena and still u will find that N8 is a really all in one gear,just like MacGyver victorinox knife.
im not interest with gaming,12mpx,or other show off thingy.
but i will try to buy it because it is a complete phone,it is cheap compare with the features,680Mhz is in the middle clockrate my other target dream phone HTC touchpro have a slower CPU and no GPU and still it is fast enough running the old winmo,256Mb its fine cause the new OS have N900 multitask ability.
and dont u realise N8 can adit HD video?that mean 256Mb is not the only memory,it might be using virtual memory just like windows or linux method.
btw the phone is not in ur hand yet,so any complain bout this phone is only base on ur assumption and hatred.u can judge it if u already tried it.im not a fanboy,i use to hate nokia too.but after some research and try to using some of nokia phone,i think they are gud just like samsung SE LG and other company accept apple,i used to be an iphone user too no videocall?what a joke.
well if u dont like it dont buy it.
