1. Free maps, google, free nav, free voice guides.
2. OLED screen, better contrast, blacks whites result in wider range of colours & definition.
3. Display 20% lower power consumption, + lower res, pixel count helps.
3. Bluetooth 3.0 + HS with increased power state ability to switch itself completely off automatically & on when needed. No switch on or off required.
4. 12mp, quality ccd image sensor with advance filter, good lens, good aperture depth of field, wide focal length.
5. Transmitter radio & receiver wheres theres no 3g coverage, save cost of internet package plans.
6. HSDPA 10.2 Mbps when 3G networks increases transmission data rate bandwith for higher performance online media content.
7. Multi touch input options on capacitive touchscreen such as point touch stylus, handwriting, finger touh, plectrum etc... More sensitive...
8. USB OTG. Use phone as host to send/recieve music, video, data. Connect to any portable thumb, hdd drives, phones, mp3 players etc...

iPhone 4 with iOS4 is way way ahead of N8.... I guess competition is over before the start... Just compare the two models and you will know it yourself... :-)

Everyday I've been seeing all people complainning and commenting of handphone ! The use of of phone is depend of individual interest.
- If you prefer to have higher processor. Please go get a 10Gb ram notebook.
- If you prefer to have good camera. Please go buy a high end digital camera.
- If you prefer to have good screen. Please go search for a LED screen TV.
- If ou prefer to have loud & clear sound. Please go find a 7.1 surround sound home system (300watts amplifier)

Having suffered at the hands of the Nokia's N97 i will not be holding my breath. Problem is Nokia do not seem willing to add more RAM, sure Symbian is pretty efficient where Ram is concerned but are they sure that third party apps will be the same?
Why not not just pump it up to 512??
I know what is going on on Android, and if you feel you have been burnt by Nokia you are right to stay away, I am justing pointing out that there is no objective basis to dismiss the N8 now. Its completely different to the N97. And about the Ovi navigation, I like it better than Google's. Plus, it works all over the world. Plus, it uses offline maps. Big deal in Europe when roaming.

not in the same league becoz iphone it's just basic phone..by the way you can compare the new iphone4 with 5530xm and you can take the winner...but don compare wit 5800xm becoz im sure iphone4 lose..5800XM FAR WAY BETTER THAN IPHONE4

i think a future phone should has ram indicator light that shows whether the ram is busy or not as it is on the pc...hahaha..

iPhone over N8: Over here in Europe, unlocked, the difference is 160 to 230, depending on taxes.
1) better Display resolution with IPS and better sunlight view ability.
2) Processor and Graphics. WRONG, benchmarks say N8 owns A4.
3) Great App store.
4) Best OS and UI. Best UI, terrible OS.
5) gyro sensor. Can it find kebabs too? Kidding.
6) Really slim design and beautiful too. So is the N8, no difference.
7) 11% larger display.
8) last and the most important. A device where all the mentioned features actually work and don't just end up being something great on paper. Which is something you cannot assess for the N8 yet, thank you.
N8 over iPhone 4
1) HDMI TV output.
2) 12 MP camera + xenon flash
3) USB on the go
4) Dolby Digital
5) Free life time Navigation
FLASH supporting browser, big deal!

On a different note, even in the US, on engadget, the N8 stacks up nicely against the new Iphone. At a fraction of the price of the other devices, the N8 will be a sure hit.

You guys really believe about the 12hrs talk time? Nokia phones are poor when it comes to battery management, im willing to be my life that real world talk time is less than 8hrs on a fully charged battery. If you get over 5hrs then your pretty damn lucky!
2 days music playback is IMPOSSIBLE for this phone probably 15-16hrs at best.
