People thanks for trying to help, however that we know long ago. Most modern Nokia,Samsung,LG,SE Symbian devices use the ARM1176. What I wanted to know is which version exactly ! Is like saying is using a Ford engine. What I want to know is which Ford engine? Ford builds engines from 1litre to 10litres. From tractor to f1 engines. Nokia admits openly the ARM11 part plus the security features (that's the 76 part). I have found out with difficulty, is one of the OMAP versions. I even have a good idea which one and who the manufacturer is (TI). What I want to know is, will they stick with the A8 or have taken the plunge to the a9? For example the Snapdragon is still using the old cortex8 core. Eitherway, tx for trying to help. I am aware this info is still a bit clouded yet. More rumors then fact. Can't wait for the N8 :-)

Euro price is for Euro region but it will change as the operators in Europe will be including their packages and contracts to work around this price. But in Asian region it is predicted to be available at around USD 350

It has been a practice, when you use your mobile extensively and if your battery included is a low capacity battery than a spare battery would come in handy. So its not a big deal and as I said earlier, N10 ( expected name ) would be available with 1500 mAh battery and easily replacable as any other cell on market...So we do not have a big issue and N8 will make upto the masses unless if it has any other issue which we will be able to know only when you start using it yourself...

Yes you are right, the tests have shown that it was scheduled for June, but due to some software glitches and ultimately compelling Nokia to redefine the S3 and as said mid July to early August at the price of USD 350 in East Asian region. But in India the launch will be around mid to end August. In India the price is always higher by about USD 50 to USD 75 ( maybe be due to higher taxes )

Don't worry about the ratings now. The cell is not out yet. What the cell manufacturers want to see is popularity. After its release you can ask the forum for the actual ratings. Let's see if it will get 50000votes before Monday. It has already became clear, the N8 will break popularity records on this site :-) For example, the Xperia x10 only has half the votes and its has dropped at 45% site relevance. The N8 hovers around 95% ! ! !

Does anyone know what processor is the N8 using? (nokia only mention the arm11) After lots of phone calls and email I came to the conclusion is a OMAP 3630 ARM11 (cortex8 45nm), a 720Mhz processor down cloaked to 680Mhz. However, there is still a small chance for the brand new OMAP 4430 dualcore (cortex9), at the same clock rate.
