Oh, I serched a bit and apparently came across info. that India is second largest cellphone market after china and its a fasrest growing and could overtake China in 2014 if grows with same space.
And market share like Nokia dominating with 56.5%, Samsung at second with 12%. Now hardly left anything for other brands. SE with 6.75% after chinese debranded phones capturing concerning 15% market, and rest other brands.
LISTEN, Nokia is dominating second largest handset market by huge margin!

Ajinkya, 02 Jun 2010I still have my SE T610 working, a good old phone, I love i... moreSE service in Indonesia is good enough...Many still own Cybershot K800, K810 and a few models in Walkman series like W760 was super hit in Indonesia. In symbian P1 etc did well. But now its Satio, xperia and vivaz doing okay. One thing is proven and proven hard...3 years back there was race between K800 and Nokia N73 in 3 mpx camera and SE won the race. Then came the race in Nokia xpress Music and Walkman series and both were at par in Indonesia. But ultimately Nokia won the majority here too. Nobody can take it away from Nokia that they have been world leaders but right now they are struggling due to more OS and tech getting higher and higher. Not only Nokia but every Mobile company is feeling the heat and nobody wants to be second to other. This competition has never been so fierce before and its good for consumers as they will have a wider choice and competitive prices to enjoy their purchase.

Rajesh, 02 Jun 2010You are right about Motorola, but SE has still got potentia... moreI still have my SE T610 working, a good old phone, I love it. If I particularly talk about Indian market (would be probably in top 3 largest markets for cellphones), SE lost its second position to Samsung and it was quite expected. Mainly not because handsets but coz of bad service support. You hardly find SE care centres except few located in metros and few in tier one places. And they took damn month to solve issues. Fall in market share was obvious. Samsung replaced SE! I hardly see SE devices in Indian hands now a days. Nokia obviously still there at no. 1 position keeping their good support, marketing and wide range of devices (in terms of price as well, from 1K to 40k rs!). People are crazy about this company!
I love Nokia and Samsung as well, both are fine at thier place but badly missing SE.. its still there but with absolutely no service support. won't dare to purchase thier device mainly coz of this reason.

Mario, 02 Jun 2010Now it has become clear. The N8 and its successor (1Q 2011)... moreYou are right about Motorola, but SE has still got potential to be back in competition. Right now also we cant say it has lost anything...but I agree recently if we leave out Win MO and Sybmian sets, SE has not been winner in its own OS which is already very very boring and aged. In old days T28, T39, T68 and T68i ruled but these days its history...But I am optimistic SE will be back with some winner models

Now it has become clear. The N8 and its successor (1Q 2011), are Nokia's new flagships. With over 40.000 votes, almost 2.000.000 views and 95% site activity, the N8 runs the show in here. If it carries on like this then the N8 would be the most popular phone ever ! By the end of this year we should have almost 200.000 votes and 15.000.000 site views. Now, that will be a record and will set the bar very hi for any follower. And lastly, I love competition. Unfortunately, apart of Samsung, HTC and LG, Nokia pretty much rules. A pity SE and Motorola have gone down the drain. How sad.

Tom-Helge, 02 Jun 2010I don't need to have such high expectations on Sony Ericsso... moreYour continous post here just shows how much of a rival the N8 is to your x10.If your x10 actually beats the N8 hands down then you don't need to explain so much. The difference should have been clear.
Nokia is for the masses so if you or people like you don't buy it, its not important to nokia.
