Can anyone explain why this phone will release in August 24, instead in June? If it have to do with the OS, I am pretty sure nokia can release a major firm and software update once S^3 is stable. I mean, by the time this phone release, people already spend money with other high end phone already. Plus, SE, Samsung, might release a high end phone with S^3 at a similar specs. or even better. Why Nokia?

coolworld, 24 May 2010Ok,love this phone,but.. As usual, there's something i'm not... moreThe battery is removable just not as easy as before. When the battery does fail (as in looses its charge hold capacity and not runs out of charge) you can change the battery by removing 2 screws. I personally like this as it means a more sturdier phone for the masses, but still acceptable for the geeks.
There is a way you can reset the phone without loosing your data much like the Iphone when and if it locks up.

Ok,love this phone,but.. As usual, there's something i'm not too enthusiastic about, and it's the non-removable battery,i'd rather have a phone that creaks with age than a phone that blocks and i have to wait until battery's out of juice to restart the phone. Will there be a reliable reset little hole then that will ,well, reset the phone or better yet, restart so that i don't lose all my settings ?

N8 has threaded sms. Smiley icons. Pinch to zoom. Multiple homepage . Side bar moved to the bottom. Many more

For the masses who are still complaining about 'slow CPU' even before getting your hands on one, check this piece of news out. The N8 was bench-marked against other touch Symbian phones (Omnia HD, N97). It scored about 180% increase in performance over N97. http://www.finestfones.com/2010/05/nokia-n8-benchmarks.html

Anonymous, 23 May 2010but x10 screen have only 65k?No, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 only have 65k colors on the screen because of the limitations in Android 1.6.
The screen that are in the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 can deliver 16.7 mill colors when it gets Android 2.1.

The only thing 5800xpress, n97 and x6 lack is a better processor. They are good phones but you can visibly see the slowness of them Like I had a 5800, i had about 1000 messages to delete and it deletes 50 every like 3 seconds. It should be instant delete. Otherwise, they are all perfect phones.

Anonymous, 23 May 2010UI looks so poor...
In comparion to Android 2.2, yes, it's true then.
Just look here on how nice and clean the home page to Android 2.2 looks: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2010/05/froyo-main-screens-rm-eng.jpg
However, if you looks at iPhone OS, then Symbian ^3 looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay way better then.
Here is a good example on how a bad designed UI looks: http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/iphone-os-4-theme.png
iPhone OS looks like a rainbow heaven for kids in my eyes.
I'll take Symbian ^3 or ^4 any days over iPhone OS 4.

In that respect, the average Nokia device is way ahead. This N8 here might be the best reason to switch back to Nokia in years. I intend to buy one!

I was using Nokia before i found out Iphone 3gs,when i was using nokia mobile all type from old models up to N95 and E60,E61,E61i,E71 and E72, i used to switch phones every 3months thinking that Nokia will imporove the quality of swiching on and off for no reason and Bluetooth in their phones but i have wasted my money with them and they never improved any of their phones at this moment i am using Iphone 3gs and very happy with good quality and has bluetooth quality connections with most headsets Good Bye Nokia thanks Iphone for the quality.
