I have to say, I don't care if the N8 has stereo speakers or not..it just has to be loud and clear enough to enjoy music otg w/o headphones. Besides, you can't really distinguish left and right in a large environment right?
Yeap!! N8 has the best camera ever. No other 12mp phone can match it's cam quality

I really hope it has Stereo Speakers. This is such a must. But maybe Nokia have pushed as much into as they can to the smallest mm. BIG KUDOS to them anyway if they can't. It's between this or the Samsung Beam phone. Because the stereo speakers really matter to me - that's why I picked the 5800. Maybe this phones selling point is breakthrough imaging & the camera component aspect. Nokia may release another phone as a Music phone. But I'm still holding my breath. It's still in design stages & anything can change the cards are still on the table. All is not lost as is known yet.

Hi. I'm still using the Nokia 5800XM. When it was first released, there were naturally lots of firmware bugs & application bugs, some of which still haven't been fixed. But paying important attention to the OS can make or break a great phone. It's all input, what you put into it that counts.
For instance. My phone has just been given a new lease of life considering what the V.50.00.005 firmware from V 31.00.101 has brought to the table. The touch UI has improved amazingly, now support for smoother more precise menu control & scrolling, Kintetic scrolling + Contacts & applications widgets bar & Music player improvements for library sorting, functionality & widget integration.
It shows how phone like this which is midrange can be turned from something dissapointing to something of a spectacular user experience. The Nokia N8 will hopefully providing it has stereo speakers as good if not a whole new dimension bettering 10 fold the experience I am now getting on my 5800. You wait & see.
N* camera massively upgraded ccd sensor, aperture, focal length etc... metal body ooozes quality, not the cheap plastic of samsung phones. Something different again from nokia & it's a MID-RANGE phone. 3.5" AMOLED hoping it's SAMOLED. Good battery for AMOLED. wifi n, 3.5G HSDPA 10.2 MBPS is not even possible in UK yet. Were still using 3.6MBPS with a few meters precision fastest approxmiate roaming distance. Capacitive plus handwriting, accelerometer, Multi touch input, stylus, Amazing front facing camera way high than standard VGA. Should give excellent 3G Video calling a new lease of life.
The processor is just fine. It's way more than enough. A 1GHZ CPU isn't neccessarily faster. But if this phone has a Dolby digital HD Sound chip like the nokia 5800, this time also a GPU for 3d hardware acceleration. Better flash support which should finally properly work of the shelf unlike my 5800.
1280x720P video calling is excellent. Twice the RAM of the 5800 256MB as oposed to 128MB. Probably substantial more ROM than 5800. 16GB built in memory & support upto 36GB Micro SD latest gen card exp cards. Symbian 3 is really going to shine. You just wait & see what they put in a high end handset. I'm already loving my 5800 all over again.
This N8 is going to be the 5800 but on a whole new level of enjoyment & excitement in every single way. Quality all the way.

royal, 21 May 2010Could anyone tell me any info on the battery, is it removab... moreIt's removable you just have to unscrew the screws but that's only if the battery is messed up since nokia is smart enough to make a battery extender for the n8

The only way for nokia to have a better market share (again) and handset is to replace the management. IMO, CEO have been there for a while, they need the someone else with the new visionary.
I am pretty sure you guys thinks they need the new directions right?

Tom-Helge, 21 May 2010Yes, the GPU will help with the graphical stuffs in the OS ... morehave you ever heard of nVidia? their GPU's are capable of performing in the same way as the CPU, just because a GPU is dedicated to graphics does not mean to be restricted to that, both CPU's in this phone will work to make it fast
