boy, what your problem?? Who needs the "slide to unlock" feature?? It's only a matter of how to unlock your phone for god sake!!
even in my nokia 5800, I could install a nice apps to emulate the "slide to unlock"....
for all, you iPhone fanboy, I'm tired of hearing you comparing your iPhone with this N8, so lets bring it.
I admit that if we talk about apps, iPhone is still way better than nokia, but if you compare the other things, ANY other things, between Iphone and this N8, then let me ask you again, who is the winner??? who???
besides, Symbian has taken a step, they're now an open source OS, and this N8 with symbian^3 is also open source, so I expect a lot of new and good apps from now on, just have to be a little patient..

In the past few months nokia had just lost their magic like they used to have when n series came out.............people started hating new nokia phones........but i think they have just jumped back..........the specs are very good and this is infact their first step towards the kind of repute of the phone giant they used to have..........nice phone nokia......

I've been using symbian for ... more6 years ago you wold have dat the 6630 or 6680 or 6202 maybe (that was the latest thing back then)...even had that catchy comercial clip where it was presented like an open book for a little girl, media library, etc.
Ok, Symbian intrface is very similar...but that is the ADVANTAGE of a good OS ... imporoving on the platform, adding new features etc whilekeeping it so easy and so accesible to people. There is no one who can complain that they picked up a Symbian for the first time and can't use it....OR you can go from an old Symbian to the latest and need less than 2-3minutes to get used to it.
It's like Windows on your PC...difference between win 3.11 and Vista is not that big...if you have used only 3.11 by now (hipotheticaly) you need about 5-10minutes to get used to vista before using it

The UI has changed, but not significantly, u know .. added 2 more home screens, being single touched, removing lots of the service messages, adding cover-flow like to the music player, multitouch support ..etc! but not the 'wow' .. if you need to 'wow' .. quoting nokia: you have to wait for S^4!
